Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Looks like I’m going to be down for a while. I got into the BIOS again to check the boot order and it appears that the power supply just quit and I am unable to start it again. This is a new 750W power supply with maybe 45 minutes total time. I had the 4-pin power connector in place, but not the auxiliary 8-pin. Anyway, off to a repair shop tomorrow...

Hi @pastrychef, Thanks you for all your help!!!
I changed a little bit the pieces I used for my build:
- AeroCool Cylon RGB Mid Tower with Acrylic Side Window, Black
- GIGABYTE Z390 M Gaming (No problems)
- OLOy DDR4 RAM 32GB (It's not the same you're using but it's working well )
- Noctua NH-D15S
- Intel Core i7-9700K
- RX 580
- Samsung EVO SSD 1TB
- Seasonic Focus GX-850, 850W
- TP-Link AC1300 PCIe Wireless Wifi PCIe Card
- ARCTIC MX-4

The only thing I'm facing is when the computer sleeps I need to click twice to run it again.
Do you know how this can be resolved @pastrychef ?
Thank you in advance again!

There's a fix in the latest OpenCore EFI on post #1.

Fyi... Affinity Designer, Photo, and Publisher are on sale right now. 50% off. All three are available from the Mac App Store.

Hi Pastrychef, I want to read and study more about macOS and Hackintosh, I consider myself with an upper-intermediate level. Can you recommend some advance reading to understand more ? Thanks!

Hmm... I really can't think of any single source for this info... I think that the best way to learn is just to frequent forums and read of problems others experience and the solutions they come up with. Also, the dortania OpenCore guide is very detailed and informative.

Hello pastrychef! Thank you for this wonderful guide! I got almost the same specs as in your build. My hackintosh is now up and working great so far, with latest Big Sur, OpenCore bootloader. Recently, I got almost for free a CNVi card Intel 9560, actually same type as Gigabyte is selling as WiFi upgrade kit. So, I got it working using CaseySJ Z490 guide, and no problems so far. But. Bluetooth is not working, not detected at all. I suspect it may be because corresponding (to CNVi) USB port is turned off to meet the 15-port limit. If this is the case, can you please help me and explain how can I turn it on? Thank you!

Hello there! I'm following your topic. Everything is very good. I have a question. How do I get the F_USB2 port to work? Is it possible?
Thank you in advance.
