It's described as fixing issues with "flashes of a horizontal white line."

Well, I had random flashes of horizontal bands on my screen from time to time, and this patch may have fixed that, but it didn't fix crashing under load, especially Metal stuff. Warcraft still crashes randomly.

I have found that *sometimes* I can get the computer to un-freeze by forcing some sort of window to show up on screen - a couple times I was quick enough after a freeze that I hit control-power and the computer came back to life when it rendered the restart/sleep/shutdown dialog box appeared. I think once I smashed the 'lock computer' button on my keyboard and I was able to get back out of a freeze, but had to restart the computer anyway.

MY Gigabyte RX5700 XT is working fine. I just get weird buzz/coil whine noises when i move my mouse and scroll browser. This does not happen on my Windows boot, only MacOS.

I think has to do with voltage, they fix on new drivers, but I guess MacOS uses old drivers?

Also any way to turn off zero RPM on MacOS? I tried with a power table generator and inject the value into my config.plist file but when booting I got some weird lines on the screen and crashed. I had do remove the power table line from the config.plist.

Big Sur has fixed all (known) issues that I experienced with my 5700XT. Not a single crash or artifact yet.

Also any way to turn off zero RPM on MacOS

Zero RPM seems kinda buggy on any OS. I tried to turn it off in Windows and my card immediately crashed. My solution was to lower the fan start/stop temperatures so they never stop spinning anyways.

Can someone kindly share best stable Device properties for RX5700 tx Shappire Nitro+.
Stable but powerful in Opencl and Metal
I found few but they are all adopted from other cards.
I bricked one already (messing to much) so looking for same already tested and working one.
Full config will be appreciated if possible...

I read that a lot of you have issues/bugs with your RX5700XT. I was planning to get one to upgrade to Catalina. Would you guys recommend to get a different GPU for a 24/7 uptime? It's really important to me that the system doesn't crash/freeze.

RX 570-580-590. Stay away from the RX580models that list 2048sp in the description. My RX 480 runs everything from Sierra to Big Sur.

What have you got against Maxsun ? They sell for a low $292 for fewer cores. LOL

I have a Radeon 5700xt Sapphire Pulse. It never crashes and works great all the time. No problems at all that I can think of. I do video streaming, a little Final Cut, Photoshop, Compressor, and some others.

The Maxsun cards we encountered in the Designare Z390 thread contain unrecognized device IDs. The cards were therefore incompatible with macOS.
