[SOLVED] IOKit Daemon (kernelmanagerd) stall[0], (240s): 'PXSX'

You don't need to disable BT-Kexts, AFAIK, thus leave Injector, FirmwareData and PatchRamX enabled. Just AirportBroadcomFixup has a plugin inside which needs to be disabled on BigSur, but not Catalina.

Always load AirPortBrcmNIC_Injector.kext, but only load AirPortBrcm4360_Injector.kext on Catalina. Thus, set a MaxKernel of 19.9.9 on AirPortBrcm4360_Injector.kext, and you should be good to go. If you do a OC Clean Snapshot, the MaxKernel will be reset too. Just something to keep in mind :).

Hi There,

Can you detail it out how to disable the kext? and re-enable it?
I tried to enable = false in config.plist or remove the injector.kext from config.plist, or remove the kext from plugin folder. None of these is working for me. Still seeing the message during booting stage, and still no wifi, no BT.

Thanks in advance
Disabling does not seem to do it for me either.

Can you post the config.plist which doesn't resolve the issue, with your fix applied?

As far as I can tell, you've set the MaxKernel property on the wrong AirportBrcmFixup PlugIn. You got it on AirPortBrcmNIC_Injector, but it should be on AirPortBrcm4360_Injector. Maybe you didn't quite see where one entry ended and another started, those blocks really take a lot of concentration to make out sometimes, xDD.

Think you should change it yourself and reboot, since that's less to type than restoring PlatformInfo.

:eek: Whoops! Let me give that a try.

Also, as an FYI, I checked my IOReg and only see ethernet for PXSX.

@ichris93

The thread-creator also mentioned that, IIRC. Think that's because WiFi mounts as en0, which is ethernet0.

Right now my WiFi is mounting to en4 and LAN port to en0. But I think with your help, I am past that issue but face a new one.
Thanks for finding my mistake. I was thinking the kext name should appear above, not below, where I disable it.

There is a guide on how to reset/change network configs like en<x> swapping. Should not be a big deal. Happy I could help! :)

Oh, having the en configured as it is now is no problem. Just struggling with the Big Sur install and conversion to OpenCore.
