Has anyone tried a Hackintosh INSIDE a 21.5" iMac before?

FYI: If looking to do this it looks like this controller can drive this 4k screen that is an almost exact fit.

if you think the lcd has the same size you can try.
please notice the power adapter for the controller drive can be very very hot (very bad adaptator) for mine i change for a better one with more amperage

Damn it! I accidentally fixed the iMac!

LOL. Maybe you should try a 24" plastic iMac. I've had this idea for a while now, maybe when I have the money and find a broken 24" I will do it. There should be enough space in there for an ITX board and even a small GPU like an RX 560.

Hmmm, I've bought the LCD controller now so I think I'll have to get one that has a compatible screen. I think only the 21.5" Mid 2011 iMac does!

Looking out for a cheap/free broken one now!

Also you don't need a controller for an eDP screen.

Finally it is too hard to fit the DH61AG inside the imac because of the cpu heatsink too i will put in a desktop aluminium case

I never got to complete this and have this kit available if anyone needs it. You can have it free, just pay shipping from Ireland.

Project updated after a long time.
Full working on Catalina 10.15.3 at this time.
