The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

Any suggestions on where I can start looking to try fix my DisplayPorts not working on imac19,1? Seems kind of strange that it works on other smbios
That is unusual, display port is the suggested output. You can go back to the same thread and attempt to patch the device properties of your card using Hackintool to change the ports.

One last idea, I have a slightly different board and video card but in the bios I have my graphics output set to "Auto" and my Symbios is MacPro1,1. Both iGPU and dGPU show in Hackintool and the System report. Might work for you too.

good morning everybody
I would like to know if first post EFIs are still up to date. I read that from 10.15.5 external kext are not supported but I understand that is only for S/L/E and L/E path. Is it safe to update to 10.15.5 with april EFI?
Thank you

Alright, nailed it today!
Although, I'm not sure why some things suddenly worked right.

RX580 DP started to work again with after I tried iMac19,1 again, with iGPU back on in the BIOS. Really not sure why, I must have missed something in my late night testing earlier. I didn't get a chance to try it set on 'Auto', just PEG and 64M, RC6 disabled, and it started to work.

I also added some device/platform id for the HD630 iGPU as well into Clover 0x0300983e
(although, didn't check without them later to prove this was what made airplay work, and I'm not clear if this was necessary)

And added shikigva=80 to the boot

Now everything works so far - Airplay to AppleTV, AppleTV episodes and iTunes movies, netflix in safari, iMovie all good so far.

I'm pretty sure the iGPU is working now, because HWMonitor shows CPU GFX start to use power when it turn on AirPlay.

As a little bonus the little purple graphic glitching lines I was getting on boot doesn't happen anymore

It's almost a perfect MacOS machine if I just add a compatible BT+Wifi card for Handoff now.

Cheers for your help leesureone

They haven’t been updated in quite awhile. Clover, OpenCore and the various kexts have all had updates since they were posted. This is what was recommended to update.

Factory bluetooth can work

I figured out why my factory Intel 9650 bluetooth that comes on the ASUS Z390-i would seemingly randomly work.. then not work.
Windows! If had booted to Windows, and rebooted into Catalina, the bluetooth would work.
If i powered down my pc, bluetooth wouldn’t work from a cold boot into Catalina.
I suspect this is something to do with how the firmware works - windows loads it into the RAM of the Intel card.

I then tried installing a more permanent kext, and this one here seems to be working so far for cold MacOS boots https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless/IntelBluetoothFirmware

No handoff or airdrop, but i’m using it with bluetooth speakers and a Magic Trackpad, and working well.

And there are also kexts to enable some of the intel wireless functions but they are still a work in progress. Even with both kexts installed you don't get continuity and al the functions that come with it, you'd need to replace the wireless/bluetooth card like most of us have. I recommend using a BCM94360NG card being its native, no kexts required and works out of the box. Awesome little card.

My ASUS Z390-I Hackintosh runs well - after much effort. Except for sleep.

But when it goes to sleep it wakes itself up after about 2 seconds - monitor still off however. After the 10 minute timeout it attempts to go asleep again, powers down, then wakes up again after 2 seconds or so.

I have a suspicion that it is somehow due to the internal USB 2.0 devices that I have on the MB. I used an active USB splitter, one side to the MB USB 2.0 header, and the two output ports, one to the EVGA Water Cooler on the CPU, the other to the LED controller of the NZXT H201i case.

What USB port number is the internal MB USB 2.0 header? Is this port enabled by default in the SSDT-UIAC.aml and USBPort.kext of post # 1 of this thread?

Is there another known cause of the reoccuring wake up from Sleep on this system?

I should add that I'm running Opencore 0.6.0 as the bootloader.

You are probably right, USB is not properly configured, and that is easy to rectify by following this guide. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/the-new-beginners-guide-to-usb-port-configuration.286553/

You are probably right, USB

I am aware of your referenced guide. But how does one test the internal USB, as the guide is more about plugging devices into the ports, and IDing what port becomes active? I'm not sure how to do that for an internal port, and so I was hoping someone on this thread could provide me with the name / id of the MB internal USB header port? That way I can guarantee it is included as a defined port in the port list....
