[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Try this version and make sure you mount the hidden EFI partition on yourUSB boor drive, delete the EFI folder that is there, empty the trash and then copy this one in place.
Also very important make sure your bios settings match the ones on page one of this thread.

This worked! I was able to complete the installation. However, at the point where I select connect to internet using Ethernet and then DHCP, it does not connect and reboots consistently. I don't want to screw up the install here. Waiting for your inputs on how to proceed.

Please elaborate, this happens at the desktop after install? If you are trying to download the OS X installation media from clover that method is not supported here.

Yes this happened at the point where I have to select the Country, Keyboard Layout etc. Right after I select DHCP it reboots.. Please see images below.

Skip that is my suggestion

I got to the desktop after skipping it! Thanks a lot for sharing the EFI. I will continue the Post Installation steps and let you know what's working and what's not. Again, Appreciate the help!

This kext can be used to enable wifi and it works directly from kexts folder on Clover or OC.
It is the last version and have improved download and upload speed.
You just need to put your SSID and PASSWORD on the Info.plist
Hi @Drfrag are you the developer of the kext, found in https://github.com/zxystd/itlwm ?
Can you perhaps kindly provide a pre-compiled Debug/Release version of the latest commits, please? I see there was some more improvements...
But I also see that your kext only supports Catalina, why not Mojave, is it too hard to include 10.14 as minimum version?
Thanks again!

Hi all - I've been using my Bean Canyon since the start of lockdown with a fair amount of success, the only thing not working generally is Wifi and Thunderbolt hotplugging (not hugely important).

I dualboot with windows, I made sure I separated the drives entirely as - in the past a windows update has completely overwritten my Clover EFI and caused me huge issues.

I have two issues:

#1 - despite me selecting Thunderbolt as my bios display screen, it never works - only booting to the onboard HDMI. This makes booting to the non-default OS sort of guess work (I have a work around mentioned in #2

#2 - some days I will boot in the morning and my egpu won't be utilised for graphics - only the onboard graphics. If I log in using the on board graphics with an HDMI (I must log into Mac OS beyond the password screen, if I don't the next step won't work), unplug egpu, plug back in - then reboot - it works fine. However I then have to unplug the on board HDMI as it thinks I have 3 screens rather than two.

I can live with #1 but assume I must be doing something wrong...

Full Setup:

NUC8i7BEH

Razer Core X egpu + Sapphire 5700 via a Thunderbolt Dock (with and without behaves the same).

Bios version 71

10.15.5

I am booting with Agdpmod=pikera in my boot args otherwise my GPU just black screens

EFI is the latest NUC8 build in post #90

Sounds to me like I've done something wrong that means Thunderbolt isn't activating properly when I boot?

When I'm up and running it works great! Tons of power, just a bit irritating.

Thanks for all your work in development

Hoping someone has better feedback for you than this, there has been some work on Thunderbolt Hot Plugging but until this past year or so it wasn't an available feature. One trick is to make sure you have legacy mode turned on in the bios, its under the security heading. That may or may not solve issue 1.
There is an available kext in progress to enable the intel wifi, its mentioned and linked in a post or two above yours. Again it's in development as well and connection speeds are nothing to write home about.

Thunderbolt hotplugging requires additional aml configuration files. I have a titan ridge card in my desktop but I have not been able to get it working correctly with hot plug. I would start here and see if people here can be help

Hi,

I've just installed macOS Catalina 10.15.5 to my NUC7i3BNH, and the installation process was successfull. Unfortunatelly, after I boot into the OS for the first time, I get this graphics glitch, with a cursor. I can successfully boot into single-user or recovery, but not into normal mode or secure-mode.

I did research, but could not find any solution regarding this problem. Any help is appreciated.
If you need further information, just let me know.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
