[Guide] Install Catalina on the Dell Optiplex 7010 and 9010 Desktop PC

I am running 10.15.4 all appears fine
Is automatic sleep normal? Since I used Mac OS 10.15, I couldn't sleep automatically. I had to turn on powernap to sleep automatically until I updated 10.15.4.

After using imac13,1 and adding SSDT, the turbo of Xeon is normal. It seems that macmini models cannot be used on machines with independent graphics cards, or all models without independent graphics cards cannot be used on machines with independent graphics cards with SSDT.Now there's another kernel error. I don't know if it's caused by an independent graphics card. I tried to modify the graphics card ID of the corresponding model in applegraphicspowermanagement.kext in "clover". It's useless. This error doesn't seem to affect the use.

I followed the guide and was able to boot and all from the flash drive but once I edited the config part and added the additional kext I'm unable to boot from HDD. I can still boot from the flash drive though not sure what I did wrong. Including a screenshot of the verbose part. Thanks.

Did you copy the EFI folder from the Flash Drive to the EFI partition on the HDD?.

All right well it was a minor config change I forgot to save. The issue I'm having now is that it doesn't go to sleep mode. Is there something I can check for this?

Hi Folks,

Install went beautifully and everything seems fine except for one little problem; with the BIOS options selected as suggested in the videos/docs (UEFI and BIOS, legacy oprom support off), I cannot see the DELL splash screen and Clover GUI. I can tell based on the keyboard flicker that its reached Clover and I hit enter because the only boot option I have is my Catalina SSD and it boots into Catalina fine (typing this right in now in the booted OS). However, if I go into the BIOS and enable legacy oprom support, I can see the DELL splash and and Clover GUI. Then I hit 'enter' on my Catalina SSD boot option and the Apple logo and progress bar proceed to chug along til about halfway and then the screen goes black.

TL;DR Legacy oprom support = no (cant see splash and clover gui, but Mac OS loads fine and is usable after)
Legacy oprom support = yes (CAN see splash and clover gui, but after Apple logo loading bar is halfway, screen goes black)

I hope someone has come across this problem before, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you for reading.

EDIT: I see @RocketLunatic had the same issue as me earlier in this thread, if you found a fix let me know brotha.

Anyone else having problems with sleep mode? Mine seems to go to sleep but not fully and it keeps on making my monitor flash on and off saying putting monitor to sleep but the actual desktop never goes to sleep. I'm using a USFF 7010 with a I7. Thanks.

Is there a way I can make this installation dual boot (Win/Mac)? And if yes, how?

Thanks for the link, but I'm still new to all this. Not sure I understood properly. Since I'm trying to install Catalina on an USFF Optiplex I think I could not add another disk.

Should I follow this other guide?

When do I install Win10, "before running Multibeast"?
