Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Hi.

I am building a new system with this mob and your instructions are perfect. All works! Thank you.

I have only one problem. My Sapphire Pulse 570 (with 4 GB) appears as "???" in About Mac screen or Hackintool. All seems working ok but I can not find why the name is not detected properly. I can see in Hackintool that kext being used is AMDStandard (as I can remember his name). Maybe this is the problem?

Regards.

That's great to hear!! Glad it's all working!

The "???" is strictly cosmetic. You can edit it to say anything you like. Please see the bottom of post #3. Look for "How To Populate System Information > PCI".

Hi! Complete noob here, writing from my first ever mackintosh. I followed this guide and everything went perfectly! THANK you so much!
I need to get a webcam working, is there anything special I need to do? I tried hooking up a dslr with cameraLive and CamTwist and I can see the feed on the preview, but neither Photo Booth or FaceTime see it.
I can get buy an actual webcam, but I wanted to know if I need to do anything else first.

Thanks, Max

Awesome! Great to hear you got it all working!

I don't have any experience with DSLRs, but I would imagine it should work like it would on any real Mac. Try searching Google for guides on how to do it on a real Mac.

If you want to use a webcam, any Mac compatible webcam will work. I personally use a Logitech C920 and it works great.

It turns out Skype can see the camera... but if I look at the system report the camera shot up as a USB connected device, but the camera entry is empty... dunno if that helps

Your camera has to adhere to the UVC standard for it to show up under System Information > Camera.

Is your camera UVC compatible?

Does the camera show up in System Information > Camera of a real Mac?

The camera is definitely not UVC compatible... but I managed to get it to work with the videoconferencing app my wife needed, albeit through some convoluted setup with Camera Live and CamTwist. I have a 920 on order so that should make things easier.

I was going through the whole thread but I didn’t see if anyone managed to get the gpu and IGPU to work at the same time... I enabled IGPU on bios but it does not show up on system information. I’m going to use final cut on this machine and the extra computing power for rendering would be good. Anything I’m missing? Thank you!

ps, so far everything else works great, all in I’m at 1/2 $$$ of what an equivalent iMac would have been, 4K display included!!! Cool!

I can boot and everything is working, but I could not do a fresh install, I did a time machine restore. I added dart=0 and the whatevergreen argu for the 5700.
I am using the imacpro1,1
could you please share your efi?
I can't boot with imacpro1,1 sysdef and 5700xt. no way

Yes, you can enable IGPU in BIOS.

It will not show up in System Information because it's running "heedlessly". This is true of real Macs too. You can see that it's enabled if you launch Hackintool or search for "IGPU" in IORegistryExplorer.

Hey pastrychef

I have same motherboard and processor like you but Radeon RX Vega 64 with iMac Pro 1,1.

I have disable IGPU in bios but i have enable VT-d.
What is difference between enable or disable for this two ?

I can't use iMessage or FaceTime..

Can you explan me why you are add patchs in Acpi / DSDT section, what is difference ? :)

I attach my EFI, all work perfectly but if you have idea for more performance :p

Can you control your fan ? me not but i can see it with HWMonitor2 (not HWMonitor)
