The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

Following the guide with careful attention, to the point of installing from USB. In summary, I reset BIOS, configured specific settings, created drive with UniBeast 10.0.0, deleted EFI/copied CAT-IGPU-EFI. The symptom is my screen eventually goes blank and enters power saver mode (it's connected to display port).

The last line I see before that occurs is "IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0"

Update: In the Clover options, inject Intel was selected, and the FakeID was 0x00000000. I changed it to 0x12345678 and I have a display and was able to install Catalina. However, the graphics VRAM is showing as 7 MB. Would that be due to the FakeID I used?
Its possible, with updates in WEG I've never needed "inject intel" or an entry for FakeID.

I installed HWMonitorSMC2 2.6.0 found in here -> https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/HWMonitorSMC2/releases.
It now shows my mainboard with sensor readings in combination with VirtualSMC, except my ambient temps. Does somebody know how I can fix this? I'm currently trying to fix it myself but if somebody does know the answer, feel free to answer.

p.s use iHWMonitorSMC2 with Intel power gadget v3.7.0 to show detailed cpu statistics.

Everything in my Asus Z390i w/Sapphire RX5700 (reference model) works, even native NVRAM.

All USB ports except for the back USB-C port works. I used SSDTs that I got off the web from a person with the exact build.

Can someone point me to a guide to populate my own SSDTs or amls, or have their own that are working, without using patch for the 15 port limit?

It took my honestly tons of hours of googling to setup the system because Catalina will not install without the "Fix Z390 BIOS RTC" arguments in config.plist so I really appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction.

How did you manage to get native NVRAM to work? I have Asus ROG STRIX Z390-I board and as far as I know only emulated NVRAM works with this board.

p.s I created a SSDT with this guide -> https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-creating-a-custom-ssdt-for-usbinjectall-kext.211311/

I agree with @antiserum420. No Z390 boards have native NVRAM. You enabled it using the SSDT-PMC.aml. As far as USB goes, you can start from scratch, which is good for fluency in dealing with this stuff in the future, or you can download MaciASL and edit your existing UIAC-SSDT.aml to add or enable your USBc port. Hackintool will show you your active ports, with it running plug something into the USB-c port to identify which it is, and then edit the SSDT to include it. If it doesn't show using Hackintool you may need to delete your UIAC-SSDT temporarily and add the port limit patches to your config.plist to activate all ports. You should read the guide so you understand why you need to add a USB 2 and USB3 port to the same port to allow it to work correctly. Sounds harder than it is.

I used this guide instead of Rehabman's, there are YouTube videos out there as well. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/a-beginners-guide-to-creating-a-custom-usb-ssdt.272505/
