[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Last edited:
Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if to post my problem here or start a new thread, please don't get mad if this is the wrong way.

The Case...

I'm trying to install Mac Os Mojave 10.14.5 in my NUC7i7BNH ( 8gb Ram + 500Gb Sata SSD ) following RehabMan guide, and for some steps I used a vmware version of Mojave in other PC, but once I reach the installer, there is not internet even using IntelMausiEthernet.

The Details...

I'm using the latest config.plist, and kext version from the guide, also during the first attempt I got a curious: "This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can't be used to install macOS." and the solution for it was delete the InstallInfo.plist from <app>/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallInfo.plist, that allowed me to reach the installed but once there I found there was not internet so after checking using the console I only found gif0, stf0 and XHC20 interfaces but not en0 therefore I assume clover is not loading or something similar the proper kext.

The Build...
Basically this is the NUC7i7BNH in itself, an HDMI TV and USB Mouse/Keyboard, there is no special customs in the machine, and the setup device is a 8Gb USB with MBR partition table and EFI + Setup partitions as recommend the guide

The Background...
The last time I mount a hacksintosh was long ago with Mac Os Tiger, and I know many things changed since then, I were since then in Linux and barely in windows, and now I got this NUC i7 because my other option was a NUC i5 but I just got the chance to get this in a good price, and I know you'll probably need more details on this which I can provide as much as you can help me to found them. I even consider in a moment try to dump the vmware mojave into the SSD of this NUC and maybe get something which I can fix but I'm pretty sure there should be a better way to make this project work.

I appreciate the effort on all this projects and hope you can lend me a hand on this to figured out whats possible to do. Thank you.
Please DO NOT use my EFI Folder being you have a NUC7, @Sevift posted his and it seems to work well. Here is a link #1,684

yeah I know that my english is bad I'm sorry. What doesn't work for me is only Imessage, Facetime.Applications like app store, icloud working normal. And at bios I will look soon because I think that my version is 74
iMessage, FaceTime and anything that requires continuity will never work without an internal Wifi/Bluetooth adapter installed in the M2 slot. If you are interested in going that route there are several fairly recent posts form @HedgeHog2k

oh well so then I don't need that because I have there SSD sooo.... But Thank you for answer:)

Ok my bios version is 72 :-O.True is I never did updated bios eh :-D ok I know I have download file prom this link https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29077/BIOS-Update-BECFL357-86A-?product=126140
But which file is correct ? And then I have to burn to USB or how ? Because I know only Rufus and this is for Windows or exist any other ways how it open from the PC for example ?

Do some searching on updating bios. But if you have Windows 10 installed that is the easiest you just run the windows 10 file. This link has info and all download types. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29077/BIOS-Update-BECFL357-86A-?product=126140

Windows 10 file just download and run ECFL357.86A.0074.EB.msi file. Direct download https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do....intel.com/29077/eng/BECFL357.86A.0074.EB.msi

If you don't have windows then copy this bios image BE0074.bio to a formated usb drive fat32. Press F2 to go into bios and then with the usb drive in press f7 and point to the usb file to install.
Direct link:

be very careful you can kill a computer if you interupt a bios upgrade so don't do anything until it finishes.

This link has all info on bios upgrade. Go down to the F7 option if you don't have Windows 10 to update it. It is pretty easy to do. https://www.intel.com.au/content/www/au/en/support/articles/000005636/mini-pcs.html

Use Google search it is your friend. All I did was search "bios upgrade guide Intel NUC8i7BEH" and the two above links were the top two searches.

So now I've upgraded to 10.14.6 (can't go to Catalina, cause some of my hardware is not supported), and now things have gone unstable again. @Leesureone could you please please take a look at my debug output again? I've no idea how my configuration is different from anyone else's.
Sorry, not seeing anything. What do you mean unstable? Please see this post regrading a change to your symbois as a possible fix. #1,742

Thanks @Leesureone will sure try that.
BTW, I've never bothered with the serial numbers, I figure it only affects the Cloud functionality, which is not what concerns me now.

@sridhar How were you checking for GPU crashes in the console? What's the command?
