[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

What you wrote is a little hard to understand. You have an Intel NUC8i7BEH like me. Go to PAGE 91 AND POST 901 and read it. Basically download the zipped files at the bottom of the page. Mount your EFI partition using Clover Configurator. Backup then delete your ENTIRE EFI FOLDER. Copy and past Leesureone's folder into your now empty EFI partiton.

That is all you need to do. Reboot and everything should work. The only thing you need to do to get imessage, icloud etc working is to change the serial. Leesureone has done all the hard work for us. It has clover 5070 installed which is stable and most of us are using his EFI folder on our Nuc's.

Also the "Rehabman Guide" is NO LONGER up to date or maintained by him any more. So if you followed his post your Hackintosh will not work or be stable.

I have posted on this page simplified instructions on how t make a Catalina 10.15 install USB for a clean install in the link below. It has some more info if you need. Post #1,695 Page 170

EDIT: Fixed Post #1,695 Page 170

Imessage still not working, nevermind else. Icloud working always.

but what I see in verbose mode is something like "WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUtil : getCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model "... It's ok or not ? Because system working

Difficult to understand what you are asking. What does about this Mac show? Does it show the correct cpu? Imessage wont work without internal wireless, continuity needs to be functional.

This guide explains everything, it addresses iMessage in the heading but shows you how to change it using Clover Configurator

SO, unfortunately I still do not have any sound. I think I will try for a vanilla installation with your recommended EFI setup.
One thing that is also currently bugging me is the BIOS. I've realised that I still have BIOS V41 and it was absolutely not possible to install any higher versions I've found via the BIOS or the EFI Shell.
Versions I've tried were:
  • be0056.bio
  • be0073.bio
  • be0074.bio
Neither of these versions ran through. It stuck with a frozen bios. Fortunately a Power Off Power On was successful so that the original version still worked.
Anyone experienced with a BIOS update from v41 to any newer one?
Cheers
Poncho

I did, how are you trying to update it? There are several ways, I used the F7 method listed here:

You can also do it from windows.

Looks like @Leesureone answered. So update your bios to 74 version. I take it that english is not your first language so it makes it hard to understand your problems. Did you delete your entire EFI folder and replace with Post 901? Did you then change your serial number to get imessage working. If you didn't do these important things imessage and other things like audio will NOT work.
See the following link to change your mac's serial number or imessage, facetime and icloud etc will not work.

Thank you very much @spottsy for this hint! :headbang:

Which serial a you referring to? Is it s specific tag in config.plist?
Cheers

Looks like Leesureone has linked you a guide on changing your serial number. Every Mac has a serial number that allows Apple to identify your Hackintosh as a specific machine. So you need to change two two items using clover configurator. Download Clover Configurator from here: https://mackie100projects.altervista.org/download-clover-configurator/
Then follow the link in Leesurones answer to you. That is all you need to do to get your Mac working using Leesurones EFI folder on page 91 post 901.
Let us know if you get stuck.

So now I've upgraded to 10.14.6 (can't go to Catalina, cause some of my hardware is not supported), and now things have gone unstable again. @Leesureone could you please please take a look at my debug output again? I've no idea how my configuration is different from anyone else's.

Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if to post my problem here or start a new thread, please don't get mad if this is the wrong way.

The Case...

I'm trying to install Mac Os Mojave 10.14.5 in my NUC7i7BNH ( 8gb Ram + 500Gb Sata SSD ) following RehabMan guide, and for some steps I used a vmware version of Mojave in other PC, but once I reach the installer, there is not internet even using IntelMausiEthernet.

The Details...

I'm using the latest config.plist, and kext version from the guide, also during the first attempt I got a curious: "This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can't be used to install macOS." and the solution for it was delete the InstallInfo.plist from <app>/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallInfo.plist, that allowed me to reach the installed but once there I found there was not internet so after checking using the console I only found gif0, stf0 and XHC20 interfaces but not en0 therefore I assume clover is not loading or something similar the proper kext.

The Build...
Basically this is the NUC7i7BNH in itself, an HDMI TV and USB Mouse/Keyboard, there is no special customs in the machine, and the setup device is a 8Gb USB with MBR partition table and EFI + Setup partitions as recommend the guide

The Background...
The last time I mount a hacksintosh was long ago with Mac Os Tiger, and I know many things changed since then, I were since then in Linux and barely in windows, and now I got this NUC i7 because my other option was a NUC i5 but I just got the chance to get this in a good price, and I know you'll probably need more details on this which I can provide as much as you can help me to found them. I even consider in a moment try to dump the vmware mojave into the SSD of this NUC and maybe get something which I can fix but I'm pretty sure there should be a better way to make this project work.

I appreciate the effort on all this projects and hope you can lend me a hand on this to figured out whats possible to do. Thank you.
