The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

Just installed the Dell DW1560 purchased from the Amazon link and it is working perfectly. I love how everything in this guide works so seamlessly!

Hey All,

I've done two successful Hackintoshes and after five years decided to build my third. I followed this guide to a T even getting the Dell WiFi card. I can't even get to the installer after completing all the steps above. What files can I attach to this thread and how can I collect that data in order to have someone on this blog help.

Also thanks again to everyone who is active in this community. It's been awesome to find!

At the Clover bootloader hit the space bar and chose -v for verbose. Take a picture of where it stalls and post it. Dumb question that has stopped others, do you have a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD? If Secure Boot is enabled in the bios it will also halt the installer.

So what could be?
It is really tough to say without knowing more and even then I’d probably be guessing. @ModMike has kind of checked out of the thread, too ,or he hasn’t responded to a posting for awhile now.
I had almost the same video card with that setup, and sleep was never an issue. You can always try a fresh install because you set up should work. Double check all your BIOS settings, etc., too.

Can't seem to search this thread only for some reason...
Currently weighing up very similar build with the same motherboard.

Has anyone found a similarly effective alternative to the DW1560? Its pretty hard to get hold of in the UK!

See post 1718 in this thread and maybe ask @negatv what he is using. Personally, I would opt for a board that has expansion PCIe slots and use one of the adapters available that mate with a genuine airport card. No kexts needed and supported out of the box.

I could not make the DW1560 (or Lenovo) card work reliably, so I ended up using an NGFF to M.2 adapter and using an Apple (Broadcom) BT+Wifi card. Fully working out of the box, with no extra kexts needed.

This does require losing the fancy STRIX aluminum I/O shield, as the adapter and card combo are now too tall to fit within the metal box and thus under the shield.

I made a little bracket for the NGFF slot which holds the adapter solidly, while still allowing me to easily remove the card should I ever need to, and added heatsinks to the appropriate positions where the IO shield previously acted like a heatsink. All is running well, and quite happy with the entire setup.

How about a picture or two?
