Got a cold boot issue (keyboard missing) when VoodooI2CHID.kext and VoodooI2C.kext are in the clover EFI other kext folder
When the 2 kexts are installed in L/E : no more cold boot issue - but then I have to boot with the VirtualSMC arg vsmcgen=1 (else boot failed)
Any idea on how to get rid of the vsmcgen=1 boot arg (consequences of this argument are not clear to me) ?

Hi - I followed the guide and I cannot get my trackpad to work at all. I have the troubleshooting files attached. Any help will be appreciated.

I've patched my DSDT for I2C, installed VoodooI2C.kext, and tried the HID and ELAN Satellite Kexts separately without any luck. Could someone point me in the right direction to get my trackpad working? Thanks in advance.

oyu may want to use LiluFriend.kext which you can compile from here

maybe as i have installed VirtualSMC along with all my other kexts to /Library/Extensions

and config.plist: InjectKexts->Detect
which worked for me

Have also tried to install every kexts in L/E ...but always need the vsmcgen=1 boot arg to attempt boot
Only way I found to boot without arg : let clover inject kexts VoodooI2CHID.kext and VoodooI2C.kext - but then got a cold boot issue : keyboard missing

Hi,
i'm writing here again because i've a strange behavior when i use VoodooI2C + VoodooI2CHID.
Suppose i want to copy paste some text from a Word file :
I left click on my trackpad and keeping the left button clicked a move my finger toward the right side of the line. I start see the text enlighted as soon as i move toward the right. Ok.
Then i stop moving right but i still keep the left button pressed. And that when the problem happens. As soon as i stop moving the finger even if i'm still pressing the left button the selection stops. And a new selection start from the point i stopped. I could make a video but i'm not sure it will be usefull..

Does any of this make sense ?

That would be awesome because 2.1.4 is performing much worse with my trackpad than 2.0.3, so I've been running 2.0.3 in High Sierra, but 2.0.3 makes Mojave kernel panic here during boot.

I am very new to Xcode and always get compile errors.

If there already is a 2.0.3 Mojave compile, I'd be thrilled if you sent me a link.

I have an Acer A515-52G-73LG with a Synaptics I2C touchpad. In my bios there's no way to change the touchpad mode to basic.
I tried to follow the guide, and patched the dtst, but the touchpad doesn't work at all. I'm attaching a folder with my IOReg, my origin dtst, my patched dtst, the log, some info about my notebook and my Clover folder. I hope there's nothing missing.

I have the exact same laptop as yours and was wondering, if you were able to get your touchpad working. Mine is not working, no matter what I tried in the last weeks. Also I´m not able to fix the backlight (no slider, no chance to adjust the brightness). Did you have success here?
