Hi,

I have installed High Sierra 10.13.6 on my laptop Hasee K660E i7D4. The sleep and shutdown process are OK, however there is a problem during the restart process.

When I restart from Mac OS, the screen stays black, so I can't see the clover interface and the apple in first boot stage. The screen will be back to normal until the second boot stage appears, and I can log in the system normally.

The debug data is attached. Thanks so much!

Make sure legacy boot/CSM is enabled in BIOS. Try setting config.plist/GUI/ScreenResolution=1024x768.

It is a pity that my BIOS doesn't provide the legacy boot/CSM option, maybe the version of BIOS is too old.

Have tried to set the ScreenResolution in config.plist to 1024x768, but the problem remain the same.

Show photos of all BIOS options.
OK, see attached.

In particular, in BIOS option5.jpeg, the "UEFI Boot" option only has "Enabled" and "Disabled" two choices.

You could always try using Clover legacy instead.
Or easy workaround: Always cold boot.

You could always try using Clover legacy instead.
I have followed your guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/ , partition the USB into MBR, install clover to the USB "CLOVER EFI" partition for clover legacy, replace the “clover” folder with my current "clover" folder, set the USB boot at first. Then the restart problem remains the same...

Or easy workaround: Always cold boot.
For daily use I can always cold boot, however it can cause problems when the system updates. The system will restart automatically, and I can't choose the correct boot choice in clover welcome interface.

So are there any other possible solutions? Thanks for your patient help.

And you disabled UEFI boot in BIOS?

For daily use I can always cold boot, however it can cause problems when the system updates. The system will restart automatically, and I can't choose the correct boot choice in clover welcome interface.

Obvious solution:
Upon restart, shutdown with power button before it arrives at Clover screen, then cold boot.

And you disabled UEFI boot in BIOS?
In my last post I didn't disable UEFI boot, so I tried to disable it, but then I can't boot into system, and the boot interface will become as attached. Moreover, I realise that I have also installed windows 10 with UEFI+GPT on my laptop, so in order to be able to use windows, I can't use legacy boot...

Yes, that may be a solution, but a little bit troublesome... I just want to know if there are any other solutions. Thanks~

Must configure Clover for legacy boot.
May need to use sourceforge Clover (I don't test my build with legacy).
