@vincek8s mentioned that installing a RX 580 fixed audio, and iGPU worked with DP, so there's hope.

Definitely, but it's not quite fully functional.
Let'ssee what happens as the macmini officially sport 8th gen, new chipsets, integrated graphics with driver for UHD630.
I’m looking forward to Mojave 10.14.1

Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing how the new Mac minis with 8th Gen. Intel CPUs and chipsets with HDMI 2.0 and multiple Thunderbolt 3 ports onboard (and optional 10GbE LAN) workout for the Hackintosh builders. They are being released in 8 days, so I'm hoping we can see a YouTube tear down not long after (I'm most curious if they use the old SATA type SSD drive or upgraded to U.2 or M.2 and also the type of WiFi/Bluetooth module). I suspect the ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac will become very popular around here. If the Gigabyte Z390 AORUS Xtreme wasn't eATX and $550, that one would probably also be popular (I'm still in shock for that price they didn't include HDMI 2.0 and/or DisplayPort). For now it looks like ATX will be the Asus WS Z390 Pro at $400 for the upper end and additional for the Thunderbold 3 card.

IOREG returns the layout-id as <07 00 .. which I thought Toleda said was a no-no.
AppleALC.kext_v1.2.8 and newer spoofs all layouts to device-id = 7 to load AppleHDA.kext. AppleALC.kext uses IOReg/HDEF/alc-layout-id = config.plist/Devices/Audio/Inject/1 for User selected layout.

Hello,

Only to inform them that it works by moving an old OSX. with High Sierra.
I had an Asus Prime Z97-A and a 4790K. I just put together a new computer with Asus Prime Z390-A and 8700k.
The 2 have the same audio and network. The only thing I did was delete the EFI and reinstall Clover.
Everything works very well so far.
I do not have a video card, I have not yet decided which one to buy (most amd, I was nvidia). I am using the UHD630

Good day

Did you have to flash the BIOS with any custom firmware?
no, I never have used a firmware flash.
It has not been necessary. The sleep always worked

mmmm
I think we might just have to stick with a Z370 board.
Not true, I have same MB a CPU. The only thing that I cant configure is the frame buffer from intel UHD630. sucks. the rest seems fine. I still do not try everything. I got stuck with the video.

I have a Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi and can't seem to get sleep/ wake/ shutdown working.

Every time I do any of the above, it's definitely a restart.

Read the thread and tried to upgrade Clover with all the other things but .. never worked.

In fact, it made the hackintosh unable to boot. haha.

Anybody has a clue on how to get sleep/ wake/ shutdown to work on my board Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi?
