Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Each OpenGL drivers are different depending the capabilities of the GPUs. Even on a real mac because they use the same drivers (of course). Google is your friend. Use it and you will find people buying eGPU's (even AMD), connecting them to real mac's and being disappointed with Photoshop performance with eGPU's. If you're not, be happy and enjoy your hack.

I'm quite happy with my hack. The software that I use on a daily basis works great. I can easily run big audio projects, edit movies at breakneck speed, and quickly cull/edit/upload photo's.

I have an RX 580 and a W7000 coming next, we'll see how both of those work out for me.

Update 1: My used FirePro W7000 from ebay was delivered yesterday.

Sleep wake, port 1, and port 2 all work fine, more or less OOTB. Port 3 and port 4 don't work until the system sleeps and wakes - after that, port 3 and port 4 work fine too.

None of the following attempts fixed the port 3 & 4 problem: After dumping the vBIOS, I defined the connectors with a KextsToPatch change in clover using this guide. I also defined the connectors using a Whatevergreen SSDT file based on Sample.dsl. I've experimented with and without iGPU, with and without Whatevergreen, with different monitor manufacturers, with macOS 10.13.3, and with macOS 10.13.4 beta 3.

Update 2: Disabling CSM fixed the problems above, however the system boots to a black screen.

Update 3: Flashed the W7000 with a UEFI-capable vBIOS from 015.022.000.004 to 015.037.000.001 which fixed boot to black screen.

Update 4: Booting the BIOS, Clover, and macOS all work fine with CSM disabled. But oddly, reinstalling macOS 10.13.3 and installing the supplemental update required temporarily turning CSM back on. Also, sleeping results in an instant wake. That's all for this weekend. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the W7000, but I'll keep it for a while. I'm trying vBIOS 015.025.000.001 as well.

RIP WhateverGreen 2018.

Got my hands on 10.13.4 beta 3 and my RX 560 is working really good, without whatever green, lilu, deinit.

It is just plug and play.

Hdmi audio is working.

In ioreg RX 560 is using AMDRadeonX4000 kext.

To fix the OpenCL core after YT video play, you'll have to enable both IGPU and DGPU.

ok.but i disable it in bios,,,,is there necessary to enable?? it goes black screen before.....my card is rx 580
Enable IGPU in BIOS and make GPU as main. Lookup ig-platford-id for your CPU for a connector-less frame buffer and set that in config.plist.

If you have problems with slow opencl score after video play just enable IGPU and AMD as main.
That may have helped you but it does not help to understand the root cause of the problem.
I have an RX580 and my IGPU is disabled and have no issues with OpenCL score after playing videos.
