Hello!
My dances started a month ago. I bought 7700k and I already had a Z170MX.
Before that, I had a working system on the Sierra. And I decided to just connect SSD to the new system without having plans to switch to the HS. It did not work and it turned out that for the 7700 you need a HS.

Dances with a tambourine ended with a working system with a manually installed clover, but the 1070 did not work. I think I've tried everything. all actions were given by a spinner in the middle of the apple.

UbiBeast is coming and I started all over again (with new Z270X). all according to the instructions.
And now the problems:
1. I was able to install the system only after removing the videocard from the computer (maybe some special in BIOS for my Z270X ?)
2. The system starts only with -v -x
3. It looks like the EFI section is not formatted with the disk, I can run the system without a flash drive without installing the clover (it already exists 4268)
4. I can not mount EFI for edit
5. The most important: installation of the web driver passes with an error. the system does not start with the video card. The installed driver does not open in the settings, but gives an error.

please, throw me links or ideas. Thank you!

tired for several weeks to sit on the Windows (

LAST NEWS

I reinstall OSX (again only without GPU card)
Prevent APFS file system- default to HFS.
It gave me the opportunity to use MultiBeast.
but no .. again an error.
I tried EFI Mounter v3 -> error.
Tried Clover Configurator - can't mount EFI.
Try WebDriver-378.10.10.10.15.121 - error and I can't change CsrActiveConfig.

BIG question is: do I need to delete the old EFI and How? Because there apparently remained the old kexts (Lilu, NvidiaGraphicsFixup, IntelGraphicsFixup). Although the Clover installed the latest 4268.

Again. My build:
Mobo: Gigabyte Z270X Ultra Gaming (BIOS F7 07/07/2017)
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K
GPU: GTX1070
SSD: Samsung 850PRO (Mac OS Extended Journaled)

BIOS settings:
VT-d disable
CFG-Lock - can't find it
Secure Boot Mode - I have Security Option [System] or [Setup]
OS Type to Other OS
IO Serial Port - can't find it
XHCI Handoff to Enabled
If you have a 6 series or x58 system with AWARD BIOS, disable USB 3.0 - What is it?

Plz help.

That is a really old clover configurator you're using. By all that is holy, upgrade your clover configurator. v 4.54.0.0 is the latest AFAIK. http://mackie100projects.altervista.org

You're on a recent-enough clover, so that's good. You don't yet need apfs.efi, so you're fine there.

Multibeast with High Sierra support has not been released. I advocate not using Multibeast Sierra edition on High Sierra. Just identify the problems your system has a find fixes on the forums for them one at a time. Usually they are some combination of USB, sound, graphics, ethernet, power management, wifi, etc. There are subforums for this stuff to figure out a solution. There is also the High Sierra Desktop Guides subforum of this forum which you can look through for successful installs on similar hardware.

Up-to-date clover should be able to mount your EFI, load your config, and allow you to set csrActiveConfix to 0x67 or 0x3FF (SIP disabled).

You don't need to delete your EFI but you do need to make sure the kexts and acpi patches in it are appropriate for your system. Make sure each kext in kexts/other (or kexts/10.13) is up-to-date, and when in doubt, temporarily remove anything in acpi/patched you don't know belongs (you can put them back later to solve specific issues).

I have the last clover 4268. I tried to install it anew, but I still can not get into the EFI section. =(

how could I delete EFI from SSD? I want to start from clean SSD...

There are any number of ways to get into the EFI partition of your drive. The manual way is to use terminal:
$ diskutil list
identify the EFI partition of the drive you want, such as /dev/disk0s1
$ diskutil mount /dev/disk0s1
This will create a mount point in /Volumes for your EFI, such as /Volumes/EFI. You'll see it in Finder as well.

Newer Clover Configurators can mount the EFI of any disk, apfs or GUID.

You _seem_ to be confusing Clover, with Clover Configurator. In case this is true, Clover is a boot loader, Clover Configurator is a utility for editing the config.plist file that Clover installs in the EFI.

You don't want to DELETE the EFI from your SSD, but you may want to erase it. Mount it using any method, and select all and delete and empty trash (or if you have mounted your EFI as /Volumes/EFI
$ rm -rf /Volumes/EFI/*
)

There are any number of ways to get into the EFI partition of your drive.

So I have successfully installed High Sierra using the unibeast method after remove EFI partition.
Now I have:
1. I can load OSX and mount/edit EFI .... but ONLY with USB Clover bootloader and without GPU.
2. Installed Clover 4268
3. Added apfs.efi FakeSMC.kext and changed config.plist
4. Now I can load OSX without USB .... but only with -x and I can't mount EFI partition (any ways).

5. I tried to install WebDriver:
csrActiveConfig is 0x3FF
NvidiaWeb is set to true
Inject Nvidia false
nv_disable=0
Install the drivers.warning.continue.reboot
6. Add Lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext

plz check my EFI folder

Thank you!

Your BIOS basically looks fine. I think you can disable port 60/64 emulation but that shouldn't be causing this issue.

The EFI you uploaded is not a valid EFI for booting a Hackintosh. Compare the EFI of the USB stick that you can boot from (without GPU) and the EFI of your main macOS drive, they should be very similar. You should see an EFI folder, under that a CLOVER folder, and under that a config.plist, an acpi folder, a kexts folder, etc (I may be missing a folder level).

-x is safe mode, it does not load all drivers/kexts. In safe mode I don't know if it loads graphics drivers. I'm still confused by you being unable to mount EFI. What method are you using to mount the EFI? If you're using Clover Configurator, what version of CC are you using?

As far as the GPU, your settings seem right. You don't need lilu or nvidiagraphicsfixup AFAIK, I don't use them, but I am on a different board and different GPU. You have them in /Library/Extensions, I would advise copying them to your EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other, and make sure you have the latest versions if you continue to use them.

Upload a zip of your main drive's EFI partition (without themes folder). It should have a CLOVER folder and a config.plist inside it.

LAST NEWS:
I took the EFI folder from USB and it works great. Update the Clover to the last and added the kexts. please check the folder.

But the system does not load with GPU. the spinner on the half of apple.

On SMBIOS iMac17,1 I believe you need lilu.kext and nvidiagraphicsfixup.kext to avoid black screen at boot, which you have in your EFI and they are up to date. I don't know what that kexts/other/lilu.kext.dSYM file is, might try deleting that at least temporarily. Perhaps lilu creates it. Triple check that _if_ you have these files in /System/Library/Extensions or /Library/Extensions they are also up to date.

However I'm confused by the multibeast screen you posted, showing "iMac17,1", and the EFI you uploaded, in which the config.plist says iMac14,2. Perhaps you installed multibeast then manually overrode in Clover Configurator. According to the config, you are iMac14,2 and do not need lilu and nvidiagraphicsfixup to boot. Based on that config I would say remove lilu, lilu dYSM, and nvidiagraphicsfixup.

I see three ethernet kexts, and the manual for version 1001 of your board (if that's the one you're running) has a Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2201 LAN chip, so you don't need the intel mausi or realtek kexts in kexts/other _unless_ you have added PCI ethernet NICs to your build. In fact the -v shows IO comm timeouts, making me wonder if it's trying to find the devices and failing. If you've installed NICs, please temporarily remove them, and remove the intel mausi and realtek kexts from anywhere they are on your system (kexts/other, /S/L/E, /L/E).

I also see in config you are booting nv_disable=0 (which is not doing anything and can be removed) and in the clover boot screen you're adding -x -v. Be aware that -x is safe mode which causes the OS to not load some kexts, which you don't want to do. I would remove -x.

Finally, in your config, I see audio inject 1, but no supporting audio acpis or kexts. I don't know if this would cause an issue. Normally, in post-install fixes, you install audio and that process sets audio inject to 1 and installs supporting config.plist patches (which you don't have any of) and other files. If you have cleaned up stuff up to this point with no progress, I would try removing the audio inject 1. As I think about it this could also be the reason for the IO comm timeouts in your -v.
