where can i find the latest version of OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi ?

Excellent news my friends!

With Clover_v2.4k_r4233 , for the first time ever, one can directly use Clover's OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi in /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/ to obtain a fully functional and fully stable system. Many thanks to @dwhitla for his excellent advice and notification!

Earlier versions of OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi resulted in unstable system performance and random reboots. Over the years, I therefore previously always employed the OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi workaround in /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/, which now has become totally obsolete! The latter workaround however occasionally resulted in memory allocation errors at the very initial boot step, while during system operation, OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi however always yielded a very stable and fully functional MacOS System.

In any case, with the current removal of OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi, also the memory allocation errors at boot totally vanished. The Skylake-X/X299 System no shows a brilliant performance during both boot and system operation!

Skylake-X/X299 macOS Sierra 10.12 Desktop Guide updated in consequence.

New EFI-Folder attached at the end of the originating post/guide and here below!

EFI-Folder modifications:
  • Implementation of Clover_v2.4k_r4233
  • Removal of OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi from /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/
  • Adding of OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi (Clover_v2.4k_r4233) to /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/
Guide-Modifications:
  • Respective parts of the guide have been updated correspondingly.
Enjoy and have fun!

Error Notification related to the 10.12 Nvidia Web Driver

1.) I previously erroneously attached NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext v1.1.2 to the originating post/guide! I just uploaded and linked
the most actual version NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext v1.1.3. Sorry for this inconvenience, which might have caused problems for many users when intending to fix the black screen issue with their Nvidia graphics cards under MacOS Sierra 10.12!

2.)
My previously distributed EFI-Folder contained Lilu.kext 1.1.6 instead of the actual version Lilu.kext 1.1.7!

I actually don't know how much these errors affected your previous attempts to prevent the Nvidia black screen issue.
New EFI-Folder attach at the end of originating post/guide and here below:
EFI-Folder Modifications:
  • Update from Lilu.kext 1.1.6 to Lilu.kext 1.1.7 in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12/
I recommend to repeat the Lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext black screen prevention approach with the updated EFI-Folder now attached at the end of the originating post/guide and also attached here below, in case that the ADPFix approach did not work out with your mobo and Nvidia graphics card.

Many thanks to @athre0z for his extremely helpful feedback and comments!

Cheers,

Graphics Section of my Skylake-X/X299 macOS Sierra 10.12 Desktop Guide totally revised!

Hi MasterKGP,

I just bought a set of 7980XE with Aorus GTX 1080Ti recently. They just arrived yesterday so I try to install Sierra on it base on your guide.

But it turns out the result in the attached image. KP after just couple of seconds.

I've followed your guide step by step and try to check the KernelPm in KKP. I've also put the right VoodooTSCSync.kext in 10.12 folder. Is this the problem related to the Graphic Card? Should I try 10.13?

Thanks for your tips you really master of this platform.

This does not seem graphics driver related but rather BIOS or VoodooTSCSync.kext related!

I see that you have the Gigabyte AORUS Gaming 7, thus please be careful in applying the equivalent BIOS settings of the ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe! The BIOS settings I provide for the Gigabyte AORUS Gaming 9 might not be the most actual ones.

If you say that your VoodooTSCSync.kext is correct, the second error source can be nearly excluded..

Thanks! Yes I just followed your setting on Gaming 9. Then let me try different settings in BIOS see if I can at least enter the installation process.
Double confirm for VoodooTSCSync.kext all I need to do is just changing the IOCPUNumber to 35 right?

Hi all,

My system is:
X299 DELUXE
i9-7900x
GtX 1050 windforce 2GB
128GB Corsair LPX
Cooler master v750 PSU
Crucial 525GB SSD
Corsair h100i

I have tried to follow exactly the 3 Oct version EFI and KGP's x299 bio setting (except CSM I didn't disable as if I do that I dunno why I would have no display).

However, I still stuck in some points
HID Legacy Shim 2
gIOScreenLockState
Nanoseconds

Actually this week I have tried many time from 10.13 failed (with 1 Oct version) and then format and try 10.12 but still successful.

In addition, I have passed a few times actually (dunno why but and then with it reach something about imac17,1 (that's all what I could glance as it just flash out) then it reboot itself and everything just need to do again.

Can anybody help?

I have tried the kernelPm but it didn't help any.....
