1.) If initially on boot you occasionally get the following error message

never mind... Just reboot, if this does not help switch of the rig and reboot again...

Never mind ? annoying when it happens 5 times in a row. Anyone have any idea how to fix this ?

any idea how to fix that issue ?

As I write in my guide, this issue just appears sporadically immediately on boot, however in my case really just from time to time!

There is currently no fix, you just have to live with it. It just affects the boot process and never occurs when already running the system. A simple reboot nearly always saves this issue.

The only thing you could try is using the latest Clover OsxAptioFixDrv.efi + Test2.efi instead of OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi....
I don't know if this would eliminate the runtime area error. However, note that I also never verified the stability of this efi-file combination, thus I cannot exclude random reboots during system operation with the latter configuration.

OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi results in solid system stability but has the tiny drawback of a sporadic and not very frequent runtime area error on boot...

Cheers,

KGP

New EFI-Folder Release for my Skylake-X/X299 macOS Sierra 10.12 Desktop Guide

Minor EFI-Folder modification:
  • DMAR, Cpu0lst and CpuPm "Drop Tables" entries added to the config.plist in the "ACPI"-Section of the Clover Configurator
  • Latest Clover Boot Loader Implementation (Clover_v2.4k_r4220)
New EFI-Folder attached at the end of the originating post/guide and below.

Many thanks to @IgnitePro for the appreciated feedback, kind collaboration and extensive testing!

Have fun and enjoy

Remove the ThunderboltEX 3 PCIe card for Mac installation!

Your either very lucky or are downplaying the frequency of this occurring. I just restarted my PC to change a FAN setting in BIOS, and it took 13 ! resets / power offs until I finally got it to boot.

This is probably one of the worst streaks I've had, but routinely it takes 5 or more tries to get past this error, and it's making this build rather frustrating to use.

Granted - yes it runs fine "once" it finally starts up, but I wish I could restart or shut down my PC without having to worry how hard it will be to start it again.

I have tried all the suggestions above and the problem still happens. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this, would really appreciate it !

it's out, no change :(

Can you you create once more the USB Flash Drive Installer using this terminal command and start from scratch with the macOS Install?

Code:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction

There was bug! The proper command should read "--nointeraction" instead of "-no interaction"..

Sorry for that.. definitely my bad!

I am sure that with the new command you will succeed!

I am currently testing Clover_v2.4k_r4233's OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi on long term system stability. Using the latter efi-file instead of OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi totally removes the memory allocation error in boot.

As soon as OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi turns out to be stable I will distribute a new EFi-Folder with the latter efi-file instead of OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi.

If you don't want to wait and you already want to do your own system stability testing you are very welcome! Just install Clover_v2.4k_r4233, including the OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi and remove OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi from /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI !

Cheers,

Clover 4233 works fine with OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi, i have started many times without problems, my system runs stable.
