any idea how to fix that issue ?
ok, i'm stuck
already successfuly finish step 1, boot from usb and install high sierra to disk (m2 nvme ssd, 960 pro)
but after restart i'm stuck with the message "Error allocating ... "
my rig has Thunderbolt ex 3, on a PCI express.
running with Nvidia, 1080 TI.
when i press 'Enter' the system restarts.
any suggestions ?
As I write in my guide, this issue just appears sporadically immediately on boot, however in my case really just from time to time!
There is currently no fix, you just have to live with it. It just affects the boot process and never occurs when already running the system. A simple reboot nearly always saves this issue.
The only thing you could try is using the latest Clover OsxAptioFixDrv.efi + Test2.efi instead of OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi....
I don't know if this would eliminate the runtime area error. However, note that I also never verified the stability of this efi-file combination, thus I cannot exclude random reboots during system operation with the latter configuration.
OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi results in solid system stability but has the tiny drawback of a sporadic and not very frequent runtime area error on boot...

Remove the ThunderboltEX 3 PCIe card for Mac installation!
it's out, no change
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction
Your either very lucky or are downplaying the frequency of this occurring. I just restarted my PC to change a FAN setting in BIOS, and it took 13 ! resets / power offs until I finally got it to boot.
This is probably one of the worst streaks I've had, but routinely it takes 5 or more tries to get past this error, and it's making this build rather frustrating to use.
Granted - yes it runs fine "once" it finally starts up, but I wish I could restart or shut down my PC without having to worry how hard it will be to start it again.
I have tried all the suggestions above and the problem still happens. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this, would really appreciate it !
