can anybody explain to me, what i am supposed to to with this post#1? is it a guide? a tutorial? an index of contents?

when i look at the first steps:

cloverHDMI: audio_cloverHDMI-120.command.zip (Download/select View Raw)
  1. Intel/AMD/Nvidia: HDMI audio ssdt > EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/

what is this supposed to mean? what ssdt? where to get it? copy it to EFI/CLOVER/....

i read so many tutorials about this hdmi audio patching and they are all a mixture of index-looking tables but no clear instructions. many dead links etc

The clue is in the title, however this forum is for Desktop Only.
For laptop advice post in the relevant laptop forum.

today again the display disappears as an output.
The ssdt is working properly (see HDAU)
AppleHDA.kext looks OK
Verify HDMI cable, hot plug, cold start, etc.

Thanks again, if I understand correct, theres sometimes just a temporary problem (defect DP cable) or a connection problem, where the OS X don't recordnize the display while booting (or in another mandatory process) correct?
So I have to run to the "standard problem identification process" with cable replacement and so on? :)

my connection to the display is via DP --- via HDMI the display was never recordnized by the system.

Yes.
You have proven the system is configured properly even when it is not working as expected.

Here's what I've done
- replace DP cable (no solution)
- Booting with display powered on (no solution)
- Booting with display unpowered and powered on at macOS login (no solution)
- disconnecting cable and connecting - display powered on - for me a hot plug (no solution)
- disconnecting cable, display unpowered - connecting cable display powering on (no solution)

any further ideas? I'm out of ideas.
at witch time this "recordnize audio output step" take place ?
while booting - or (as Windows) at connecting the device like an USB-Stick ? PnP?!

HDMI was working fine since I have installed SSDT-XCPM.aml it has stopped working.
IOReg shows a bunch of garbage for NVDA,Display-B@1, link....
How are you injecting edid?
Attach Clover boot log.
Remove SSDT-XCPM.aml, attach new IOReg.

Folks,

I´m having trouble to get AUDIO througth HDMI/DP AUDIO with my EVGA GTX 1050 TI FTW 4GB.

To get audio througth HDMI/DP I have to boot Sierra using one them and then plug the other port to make my monitor be recognized as audio output.

Any clue?

Makes perfect sense?
Exact step by exact step, IOReg for each step.
