[GUIDE/Workaround] Using Intel HD530 with Dual Monitors

When I changed to 14,1, first time it booted with one monitor (the one with DVI-D) and I found something a little bit strange, I can move the cursor to the black screen but I couldn't see it, you know when you have only one screen and move the cursor to the end of the screen you can see the mouse in the border, but that time the cursor went to the other screen. I did a reboot and I couldn't reach the login page anymore.

I attach the config.plist and ioreg file. How can I do or where can I find AGDPFix?

Thanks for your help and your time.

I do not know where is my SSDT file to replace it for the one you send. The config.plist file I will put in /EFI/CLOVER, is that right? sorry but I am a noob...

Thanks.

Yes, put config.plist to /EFI/Clover,
ssdt.aml put it to/EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched/

Okay, I've done that. First I use multibeast to set iMac 14,1, after that I placed config.plist and ssdt.aml in the places you indicated. Reboot with the 2 screen connected and nothing changed, I only can see the DVI-D adapter screen but this time the system recognized 2 screens in system information.

Rebooted again without the HDMI screen connected, when I logged in hot plug this screen and system crashed and reboot.

Tried again, this time I leave connected HDMI screen and unplug the screen with DVI-D adapter, Login and hot plug the HDMI cable into the adapter and eureka! Dual screen working!! shuhung you are the man!

And the question is... Is there any option to not hot plug the cable?

Thanks, thanks and thanks shuhung.

No way, must be hotplug, you need to change connect type to 00080000 to support HDMI audio, connect HDMI port and upload ioreg and config.plist again, I will make the FB@ patch to your config.plist.

Sorry again for my ignorance... How can I change connect type to 00080000?
connect HDMI port and upload ioreg and config.plist again
At this point I have one screen trough HDMI and the other trough DVI-D to HDMI adapter. You mean just with the screen which is connected trough HDMI?

Thanks.

Yes, only HDMI, need to know which port is HDMI, the best is you can tell me which port is HDMI and which port is DVI, then no need to upload files.
Do not use Multibeast to enable HDMI audio, no 4 ports patch is required, it will break previous patch in your config.plist.

Here are config.plist and ioreg files with HDMI screen.
I just install VoodooHDA.kext-2.9.0d10 and voodooprefpane to get audio trough jack. It was the only way I found to get audio working through jack. It works fine.

Another thing which is a little bit annoying is that when I turn off the computer, after 2 or 3 seconds it boots up again by himself! I have to unplug from the main or switch off the power supply to avoid the system to boot again.

Thanks again shuhung.
