[Guide] Patching LAPTOP DSDT/SSDTs

@RehabMan, are you interested in a bare Clover F4 ACPI dump of an ASUS MAXIMUS VIII GENE to be added for MaciASL? I did some commonly fixes but it doesn't fix my videocard issue. I have the "wake from sleep" issue using a nVidia GTX980TI (iGFX disabled). I see a lot of users having this issue. There is one fix, change the SysDef to MacMini 6,1, however this breaks loading several power-efficiency kexts which were loaded successfully with SysDef iMac17,1 like AppleLPC and others. I can deliver all info/files/dumps you need if you like to add it to MaciASL and helping me is really appreciated!

I think your issue is better addressed in the appropriate desktop forum.

I did but no clear fix anywhere. I can live with MacMini 6,1 so its not a big deal. I just wanted you to know that I can deliver you the input so you can add the DSDT fixes to MaciASL repository helping all Asus Maximus VIII Gene users. There are quite a bit out there using this motherboard. So tell me if you like to receive F4 dumps etc.

I'm sure there are plenty of guides for your motherboard. Desktop discussion is off-topic here.

once you have done the common patches and the os fix and install the i2c controller kext, it should be working
So how to do the common patches?
I need to to something with these lines

"Fix _WAK Arg0 v2"
"HPET Fix"
"SMBUS Fix"
"IRQ Fix"
"RTC Fix"
"OS Check Fix"
"Fix Mutex with non-zero SyncLevel"
"Fix PNOT/PPNT" (use only if you're dropping CPU related SSDTs)
"Add IMEI" (do not use if your DSDT or SSDTs already have IMEI/HECI/MEI device)

right?

You won't be using Fix PNOT as you won't be dropping any SSDTs.
And not Add IMEI either (mostly that is for Ivy/Sandy).

I have a question. If I go on patch in Maciasl and then for example to battery patches this will show up.
#Maintained by: RehabMan for: HP Probook
#NullPatch.txt

# This is not a patch....
what does this mean?

The section headers are not patches.

I do not understand. All I want is patch the dsdt that my I2c trackpad and the battery state and the sound is working. How can I reach this goal?
