[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9350 macOS 10.12.1

Status
Not open for further replies.
Hey guys im currently having a slight issue with my Dell Xps 13 9350 not being able to find my MyDigitalSsd NVMe 240GB.

I can see the NVMe when I push F12 under the legacy section

Im able to boot off of my USB drive and navigate through the installation but when I select disk utility to format my SSD it doesn't display my newly installed NVMe SSD.

Note: My MVMe is fresh out of the box with nothing installed on it.

I've been roaming around the forums and I can seem to figure it out.

I've downloaded the Clover.zip file from maxexcloo on page one and i followed his instruction on how to replace the /EFI/CLOVER/ folder with the one attached to this post.

Thanks!

Hi - I have the 6560 and using your v2 and thank you for all of your work. One of my problems is that when I reboot after a fresh install with kexts my hard drive won't reboot and it requires another fresh install. I can't determine what's causing it but it started when I started using your clover. I thought it could be the audio? Your version of voodoohda is the only one where I was able to get the headphone jack to work so was thinking it could be something to do with it?. I have tried leaving hwp off because I know that has caused some people some issues and still have the same.

It happens when I close the lid, open it and then restart.

Thanks!
Remove every FakeSMC-related kexts and use the one from v1. Already fixed that in v3, but testing it for now.

Attach ioreg as ZIP: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

Hopefully I followed all steps correctly.

ioreg and Clover folders are attached as two separate zips.

EDIT: I should also mention that when looking at system information I have no PCI cards or devices listed.

The ioreg is corrupt. You didn't use IORegistryExplorer v2.1.
Your EFI/Clover is missing the entire ACPI directory.

But to answer your question regarding WiFi... assuming you're running macOS (not possible to verify due to wrong/corrupt ioreg), you do not have a required patch for Brcm4360. On 10.12, the 'fcvo' patch by the-darkvoid is required.

Thanks RehabMan for the reply but how do i install it? Do i install the new patched HackrNVMeFamily-10_11_5.kext to my USB? Because right now I cant even boot into Sierra from my laptop.

By installing it to i just copy and paste it into the Kext folder in the first post?

You are posting in the Sierra forum. Why are you asking about 10_11_5?

Current Sierra 10.12.2 HackrNVMeFamily would be HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_2.kext.
And as per README, you cannot use HackrNVMeFamily for the macOS installer unless you use the class-code spoof.
Are you planning to use the class-code spoof?

Whoops sorry that was a typeo, I have a copy of Sierra on a usb drive.

Right now I'm willing to do anything as of right now I can't even install macOS, because i can't find my Nvme add when I choose where to install Sierra on

Sorry this is my first hackintosh build

Without the class-code spoof, you cannot use HackrNVMeFamily on 10.12.x.
Instead you must add the IONVMeFamily patches (appropriate to your macOS version) to your own config.plist.

I apologize upfront for the noobie question, but I'm trying to build a kext using Rehabman's Github for Voodoo PS2. I have Xcode and opening the folder and simply building it, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. Any suggestions on how to successfully build it with the most recent changes that were committed?
