macOS Sierra PB: Need testers for new AMD Radeon drivers!

Have you tried the approaches outlined about 10 - 15 pages (or so, give or take) back in this thread about turning off the built-in Intel HD4nnn graphics cards? These entail removing all HDMI audio/video patches from your config.plist -- along with any SSDT or DDST audio/video patches, but most folks are then able to run iMovie, FCPX, etc.
I disabled "Inject INTEL" and now all video editing stuff works. BruceX test result 17 sec. Only computer start is blind. Ok, enough for today. Thanks guys!

If anyone use R9 390 in Sierra? I lost r9 390's accel after I moved to 10.12.2.

It doesn't show metal support.

At 2fps it sounds like you're running on IGPU, does your Xeon have IGPU?
If it doesn't you will need an extra video card like a AMD 5450, or Nvidia 8400gs to put in pcie slot 1 and put the RX in slot 2.
Any Vcard that has native support in sierra will give you Integrated graphics to use the RX 480.

Search the "Enabling AMD RX 4XX Cards in Sierra" thread to see how to activate acceleration on RX 480. The RX 460 runs without this mod, but if you're using a 480 you need to make the kext change to get proper acceleration.
Hi,
I have already installed 10.12.1 with clover 3.7 i think. post installation, multibeast all done. working all right. So I just got sapphire RX 480 nitro 8gb. Please guide me which way to enable RX 480 fully working, should i go for kext modification or should go with clover modification or should i update to 12.2 and do the modification?
My Setup - i7 3770k, gigabyte z77, 650TI and now i have RX 480. Please guide me. Thank you.

It's safe to do the 12.2 update first but doing it first in the 12.1 would be a good idea to get the process done correctly then update and do the change again. This way you get some practice to get it right before you update.

The 4100kext modification is the easiest way to get your card working, it takes me about 2-5 minutes to do the fix after an update.

The later clover bootloader versions 3900 series will inject the correct name for the card if you inject ATI in clover. This is only cosmetic though and won't increase performance so if you don't want to mess with reinstalling it you can use your current version.

Use search window " Enabling AMD RX 4XX Cards in Sierra" and follow the picture guide after watching the recommended video a few times.

Thank you. will do that.

How do remove EFI driver from shell and then boot without restarting? what are the commands? we might settle a script for that and integrate it into clover.

The R9 390 should work when spoofing the device ID to R9 390X and setting iGPU=Primary.

No luck in 10.12.2 it was ok IGPU setting in 10.12.1

ID used for R9 390 and R9 390X both are not worked.

Do I need revised framebuffer for AMD8000 kext?
