hi

Been trying for days to get my higher resolution display to work with HD530. When I run CoreDisplayPatcher I get this error:

Last login: Sat Oct 1 19:43:03 on ttys000

Macintosh:~ Jim$ /Users/Jim/Downloads/CoreDisplay-patcher.command ; exit;

/Users/Jim/Downloads/CoreDisplay-patcher.command: line 5: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'

I have SIP disabled, I never get asked for my password as the instructions tell me. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hey, thanks, you had replied to me last week about this to try and I couldn't find the tread for some reason.

Let my noob a$$ go try this again, i'll let you know

Oh boy.

I ran it, it looked like it gave me some error, and said it couldnt do something. But it asked for my pw. I was unsure if it worked or not so I decide before comg here to reply to reboot and see what happens....

With my HD 530 it hangs on the load screen. I then connected my gtx 670 to log in to chck clover to make sure i got my setting correct, but now anfter the load screen it wont load i just get a black screen

The scrip obviously did something, not sure it was the correct thing

Wow, Im stuck. I didnt think running this patch could have messed up my gtx 670 also. Black screen.

Any suggestion on boot flags or what ever I can try? This is drving me nuts. I need my mac for work.
At this point Im just trying to get my gtx 670 back working and try and undo whatever this patch has done.

I tried stuff like GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1 npci=0x2000 npci=0x3000 -x -s

ok I have figured out I can undo the patch using the mv command in recovery, by replaying the coredisplay contents with coredisplay.bak....... however I am still a noob and don't exactly know how to do this once in terminal. Can someone just help me out with the commands I would need to use??? I'm really afraid of screwing up things further

Try this...

sudo su -

cd /

mv System/Library/Frameworks/CoreDisplay.framework/Versions/A/CoreDisplay.bak System/Library/Frameworks/CoreDisplay.framework/Versions/A/CoreDisplay

reboot

Hey thanks for the help, this did the trick. Had to do it through recovery. Whew thought id have to reinstall and i havent done a back up for a while!
