So I ordered my parts, put it together, used unibeast to create a USB with clover boot.

When I boot from the USB, the installation starts, but the progress bar gets slower and slower until the point where it finally hangs.

My system is

Thermaltake Core V21 Black Extreme Micro ATX Cube Chassis CA-1D5-00S1WN-00

CORSAIR CX series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC CP-9020058-NA Power Supply

Intel Core i5-4590 Haswell Quad-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 1150 84W BX80646I54590 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4600

GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

SAMSUNG SM951 M.2 256GB PCI-Express 3.0 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10R

I have seen suggestion to us a USB 2.0, this motherboard only has USB3.
I did the following BIOS settings
VT-d disable
OS Type to Other OS
X.M.P. Memory Profile to Profile1
I did not see an option for CFG-lock

I did notice that this bios is F7, and some of the other builds involve F5.

Any help is appreciated.

Tom

Have you checked the SSD against any issues on site?

Try installing from a USB 2.0 port...

All of the ports on this are USB3.
It does have a plug on the mother board that says usb 2, so i could pick up a [h=1]USB motherboard header pins to an external USB 2.0 connector[/h]

No they're not unless Gigabytes Sales page is wrong...

EDIT: Post your installer config.plist

You are correct. I didn't realize the yellow ones that say DAC were usb2. Anyway, I tried the install from a usb2, and had the same issue.

Right now the only thing i changes in config.plist was the OS to 10.11.4

Is there info on what to set in the config somewhere?
