Hi
I recently upgraded my system to Mountain Lion, but I have these orange harddrive icons, which normally indicate that the drive is external.
Is the way of fixing it still to install the orangeiconfix.kext and rebooting or is there another solution?

Choose of one the SATA kexts in MultiBeast. They fix that.

I chose the IOBlockStorageInjector, where it said in the description, that it fixed the orange icons, and made my drives be recognized as internal drives. But it didn't work. If I choose the 3rd party SATA something, could it then help?

Tried the 3rd party SATA kext and now 2 of 3 drives show up as internal. The only one that shows up in disk utility as an external drive is the one that I use for virtual machines.

I was able to fix this with DSDT Editor & Patcher, loading my DSDT and choosing the AHCI SATA orange icon.txt patch. I then compiled and saved. Fixed my issue.

It comes with that patch in its folder. Good luck.

Also, I ran

pmset -g assertions

and saw that an "External drive" was keeping my hack awake. After applying the DSDT fix, this is no longer an issue.
