Hi guys, my hackintosh is stuck in a boot loop, and won't go past Chimera (v1.11.1 r1394). Have tried to find an answer to the problem but no luck as yet.

Using -v or -x don't let me get out of the loop.

I had reinstalled some kexts from Multibeast just earlier, and had also previously had the newest Chimera installed, but it has somehow reverted.

If I try to use -v, the following is what comes up, before a reboot occurs:

"Read HFS+ file: [hd(0.2)/System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist] 478 bytes.
Loading Darwin 10.8
Loading kernel cache /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache
Read HFS+ file: [hd(0.2)/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache] 4096 bytes.
Read HFS+ file: [hd(0.2)/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache] 14636042 bytes."

If anyone could help, that would be great.

Let me know if there's any further info required.

I'm in the exact same boat (happened to me just last night!).

Thankfully, I was able to boot with my UniBeast USB. Would appreciate it if anyone can shine some light on this so I don't have to keep my USB plugged in all the time...

Same issue here, I think it started afer updating Chimera to 2.0 (I also changed default theme with multibeast later) . The only way my system will boot is by using iBoot with -F flag.

Using Chimera with -s -v -f DSDT=hd(0,2)/Extra/DSDT.aml I can go a little further, but then the system hangs with an ACPI kext error.

Quite annoying as my system was working flawlessly for the last two years, and was upgraded from SL, L, and ML without reinstalling the OS with no issues.
