So I build a dual boot system (windows 7 / ML 10.8.2)

Everything is working except for 1 problem that I can't found any answer to. The issue I am having is whenever I do a reboot or a cold boot and get to the desktop, I could move my mouse and see the cursor, but there are no clicking or pressing any key on keyboard (Command Tab and etc). However after a few minutes (4-5mins) later the clicking and keys works.. I don't know why is there a delay.

In 10.8.0 the cursor don't even show up at boot until a few minutes later.

Now this is the same for USB and bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I know the system is not freezing because I have leave youtube video on and it runs. Also in System report under USB it see keyboard and mouse. Also if I use teamviewer to login I could click and right click though it, but not using the physical hardware.

Any help will be great.

My setup is as follows
Gigabyte H77-DS3H v1.1
Intel i3 3220 Ivy Bridge
Kingston 8GB DDR3 1600mhz single Stick
PNY Nvidia GT 210 with Dual 1080p screen
OCS Vertex 3 120GB
Pioneer Blu Ray Drive BDC-207D
Thermaltake 350w

I install ML using
Unibeast 1.5.3
ML 10.8.0 Retail Disc Image

Multibeast 5.2.1 Installed
-UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation
-Realtek ALC888b/887 with DSDT and without DSDT
-Nvidia Fermi Patches
-Trim Enable
-Atherors

Update, so if I boot with -x (safe mode) the mouse and keyboard work right away.. how to diagnosis what is hold up in normal boot.

also sometimes the dvd drive does not pickup by osx.. even if it works inside the bios or before osx get loaded.

no expert could suggest anything?

use multibeast and load the kernal cache at start up. That fixed my keyboard and mouse problems. Should be in customization?

Thank you very much for this suggestion, but it didn't do anything for my system.

Anyone else?

Sorry for bumping this thread if you got it working.

I had this exact same problem.

I found out it was the audio kexts messing it up. Deleting appleHDA and HDAenabler1 kexts and using voodoohda kext sorted the issue.

Hope this is of some help.

I try what you said, I remove the appleHDA, HDAenable1 and try to install the voodoohda but got panic attack. I finally seems to get the one of the voodooha to install (the last one in multibeast) but then while using the systsem the mouse moves but click and keyboard stop responding.

It is for sure the audio driver, because after I remove the appleHDA and HDAenable1 and the mouse and keyboard work fine.. but no audio of course..

Anyone else have suggestion?

Anyone else wanted to take a crack at this?

The easiest solution i found to sort the audio, once i sorted the keyboard and mouse / trackpad issue was to use a USB sound card. Not ideal, but worked for me very well and i don't have to fret about messing the system up again. There probably is a solution, but my solution worked enough for me. I still needed voodooHDA installed for my sound card to work properly, without it, there was random pops in the sound, i have no idea how or why that worked, but it did.
