Yosemite on GA-EP35C-DS3R -> cannot shutdown...

Hi guys

Yosemite on GA-EP35C-DS3R is an easy install with GraphicsEnable=YEs, PCIRootUID=1 boot flags.

No sound - i ll try the solution offered here - but main problem is the pc cannot shutdown. Coolers are on and when i close manually BIOS is reset to CMOS best working set (no ahci, 32byte etc)

Is there a way to monitor the shutdown procedure in any way???? Does anyone else has the same problem? Any solutions????

It seems that CMOS is reseting in Yosemite... I ve tried Multibeast patch Apple RTC patch for CMOS reset with no success.

Any solution guys????

with Clover, my Asus Maximus formula x38 also reset CMOS, after change to Chimera 4.0 works well,but i must
enable ignore cash to boot properly !

You can find DSDT for your MB in Downloads Section, if you don't have it yet. Try with this. I have the same board and working better than a mac for years (since Leopard 10.5). Always with DSDT. And the rest with Multibeast (for audio, ethernet, AppleRTC, etc.)
Working parts with Chimera 4.0:
Audio
Ethernet
Restart, Sleep, Shutdown

P.S. you must put one more flag on plist: npci=0x2000

I ll try re-installation with DSDT (have you updated the board at all?)

never used this or npci=0x3000... is there a reason to add them?

I had problem with Maverics Installation and I had found a thread about this and the solution was 0x2000. I continue put this flag just for sure.

Use Chimera 4.0 to be exactly the same with me. As I said I have no problems. We have the same board and it's tested a long long time ago for full compatibility with OS X. I have installed all Mac OS X versions with no problems.
For you to be sure, make a new installation on a fresh HDD and do what I did. Always create USB Setup with latest Unibeast for Yosemite.
It's 100% guarantee that it will work. Except if you have problems with your board because it's very old.
Don't forget when you're testing installations to have only one HDD connected on board and no unused USB, etc...that makes you see the problems clearly, one by one.
If you have SSD installed, don't forget to enable Trim Support (with Multibeast or Chameleon SSD Optimizer)
TrimEnabler from Cindori doesn't work for me yet, as Apple has introduced a new security requirement on 10.10, called kext signing.

GA-EP35C-DS3R is an Ultra Durable Motherboard, has never betrayed me with any OS (Mac OS X, Windows or Ubuntu).
The installation of any OS is very easy with this board. Very easy to make triple boot. Good temperatures and monitors on any OS.
A "Chameleon" Board...

Disadvantages of this 8 years old board I believe: Nothing!

As you can see, I have new hardware setup now, but I'm very sad that I will leave this board back.

I used to triple boot, later on, i used only osx with parallels (once or twice per year)

Yes great board - rare reboots at turnon are the only known bug.

Ότι θες μην διστάσεις να με ρωτήσεις. Πρέπει όπως και δήποτε να κάνεις αυτήν την μητρική να δουλεύει ρολόι με Mac. Γίνεται και το ξέρω από πρώτο χέρι!
Τα Yosemite τρέχουν καλύτερα και από έναν iMac.
