boot0 error, need help fixing please SOLVED

Hi  If this is in the wrong place please let me know.

I installed Mavericks using a .raw file to create bootable USB. I used MultiBeast post install. It runs really well as long as I boot from USB. But when I boot from HDD I get the boot0 error. I am a noob so I appreciate all suggestions. I am open to different boot loaders. I just want to get past this error. Thank you in advance.

My system is
Z77-DS3H (Rev 1.1, BIOS version F8)
i5 3570K
Seagate Barracuda HDD
Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM
Radeon HD 7750 GPU

Search is your friend. There is even an OFFICIAL GUIDE for dealing with this.
Here, I'll do it for you: http://www.tonymacx86.com/25-boot0-error-official-guide.html :beachball:

thanks for the reply. i tried that without success. i have researched solutions for this for hours. tried different boot loaders. i guess i just didn't want to list what i've tried because i'm willing to try everything again in case i screwed up somehow the first time. i understand the 4k drive issue. does that mean this boot0 error has nothing to do with kexts.. or my install? is it also unaffected by various BIOS settings? must it only be related to the block size of my drive? the first method didn't work for me (although i didn't install using unibeast), and i don't have another data drive to try the 2nd method. will the dd if= of= command work 100% of the time if done right? before i used that method my error was just a few lines of coherent text with the boot0 error. after i tried the dd if= of= it was the same boot0 error followed by a full screen of jumbled characters.

Boot0 with lines of gibberish - Radeon HD7750 is the culprit:

Thank you for your quick and accurate reply! I removed the 7750 card and booted from hdd with no problems. I admittedly should have done this from the start, but thought it wouldn't matter if i used onboard video via bios settings. Now on to my 7750. Thank you so much guys! anybody reading this: just unplug ALL non-essentials like the guides say

boot0 SOLVED

Good catch Adrian. There needs to be an version of the official guide that addresses the extra gibberish code as well.

+1. I came across the official guide early on. If this information was in the official guide it would have saved me a lot of time. Probably more people are running into this error now as cards gain more support and people are trying them in their systems.

Firstly I am glad that you have the problem resolved and you are now able to boot successfully into your OS X installation. Congratulations on your success and I hope you enjoy the experience.

I will speak to Tony about at least providing a link from the official guide in the short term. Looking longer term we may redo the guides. AMD Rx-200 series cards are going to be extremely popular once the whole range has proper OS X support.

Thank you

Adrian B
