Ya I read your posts, I too may go down that dark road :>

It seems like the last thing you posted, was moving your ram from 1,2 to 3,4. I just did that a couple hours ago, but to 1,3 like my motherboard manual suggested.

What are these c states that people are talking about?

And thanks for replying, I know there's not a ton of responses on these forums. If I figure this out and have the 2 day at least stability, I'm going to try and stay active on these forums to help out.

Also once everything was stable for you, did you re-introduce your bluetooth dongle and keyboard/mouse?

I've taken that out of the equation for now, although I didn't even have it for the initial freezes.

No, you're wrong. Not sure if I labelled it correctly, I didn't look at the manual. I just knew from before the sticks shouldn't be together if they're just two. So by your terminology I moved from 1,3 to 2,4

You'll find the c3/c6 state support feature in Advanced CPU Core Features under M.I.T. if you're looking at the non 3D view.

I actually just sat down in front of my hackintosh for the first time after 3 days of stress running (had WoW open all this time - just because it would often freeze very quickly like when I played). Check my topic, I'll document progress there.

Let me clarify a bit about the c states of Haswell. The c states are low power states of intel CPUS's. The higher the number the lower power state it is in. The problem with c6/7 states of Haswell is that is uses so little power, that no all PSU's can deliver (I believe it was less than 0.05A). So when using an imcompatible PSU with Haswell you need to disable some c states.

Hi, i got similar Problems on the H87N-WIFI ...

As far as i know Fermi Freeze is meant for GF 5xx Cards (Fermi Series).

Does your wake from sleep work correctly after a few sleep cycles? I never can get more than 5 cycles until it freezes.

Did both, Ramcheck with Memtest seems to be ok. Ram Placement as well.

Might i get some Ram to verify that is working correctly. Without sleep freezes occur after 12h + if i start an application or something like this. If it happens after sleep i see usually the desktop and it freezes if i open an application.

Alot of us may have built our Haswell systems by upgrading an existing build/system. So, what are the other components that you might have reused from a previous build. We mentioned PSUs and posted a compatibility link above.

Another item to check is your memory's compatibility. Gigabyte has a Memory document on each motherboard web page on it's site that lists compatible memory. So, if you are reusing memory from a previous build, the memory sticks may not be compatible.

Thanks for suggestion, Ram is on List, Cpu as well, Power supply too, built a new System on H87N-Wifi base. With Chimera i got no Logs but the same Behaviour, so i tried clover which behaves similar gut gives a problem Log....

The Reason 1 for the wake Problem, after long sleep 1h + i get a black screen and have to force reboot, if i use clover auto reboot works with failure Log. Seems to be Kernel related...

Reason 2, If i make a short sleep and wake the system it works well, but only a few times, at least after 5 retries it freezes. Sometimes i reach the Desktop and i can open an Application (in this case Aperture) which is the reason for the freezes.

Im back, my sleep wake freezes are gone since i patched the dsdt. Might this help you as well, with maciasl and the pre made patches it is quite easy .... I disabled CPU Virtualisation as well, im not sure which it was now ...

Care to elaborate a bit more on those patches?
