Hello guys !

I'm opening a new thread after this one : http://www.tonymacx86.com/desktop-compatibility/102506-nvidia-geforce-gtx-760-works.html

My config is : Z77X-UD5H, core i5 3570k, Corsair SSD, ML 10.8.4

Until now i've used the HD 4000 graphics with my 27" 2560x1440 screen without problem. I've bought a GXT 760 as my first graphic card. This is where the problems happens. I am stuck with the forever spinning wheel and apple logo at startup.

Configuration is iMac12,2. I always had KP using any MacPro, so I kept using iMac12,2.
Since then i've tried iMac 13,2, MacMini 6,2 and both are working fine with the HD4000, same spinning wheel with the 760.

So far, i've tried to change a few things :
This is my current boot.plist (without the 760 I set GraphicsEnable=Yes)

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
    <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
    <key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
        <string>No</string>
     <key>Graphics Mode</key>
    <string>2560x1440x32</string>
    <key>Kernel</key>
    <string>mach_kernel</string>
    <key>Kernel Flags</key>
    <string>darkwake=0 PCIRootUID=0 npci=0x3000</string>
    <key>Legacy Logo</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
    <key>Timeout</key>
    <string>2</string>
    <key>UseKernelCache</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

Boot using -v this is what I get :

I can boot using -x

I'm wondering if there is a problem with the fact that I have a KP every time I use macpro.plist.

Edit : The printscreen when booting using MacPro.plist

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Greg

I've just tried, and it's the same. Can boot only with -x

If I remove the 760 from the mobo I can boot normaly.

I added the KP when using MacPro smbios.

Well thats not good since i tried my buddies 780 in my desktop and got the exact same problem. I didn't find a solution after tying everything i could think of and for everyone else on here it seems that theirs are working with no problems so i don't know what to say. Might try backing everything up and starting fresh?

I'm also assuming that you are using GraphicsEnabler=No.

With the mac pro smbios unless it is the mac pro 3 or 4 you will get that kernel panic unless you delete that file.

Its Macpro4,1 or Macpro5,1 that you need to delete the file, not 3,1

I would suggest that you set your smbios to Macpro3,1.

You mean try without any smbios? Or with the mac pro 3 or 4?

Then you are back to where i said this.
