Hey guys, so I am trying very hard to get this Asus Thunderbolt EX II to function along with my Z97-a/usb 3.1 mobo and having zero luck.

I've installed the necessary drivers for the actual hardware and it recognizes in the Bios UEFI but when I try and access through OSX 10.10.3 theres nothing. Any help? All of the guides prove fairly useless with my install and/or I do not understand what exactly is not correlating between the hardware and the bios!

:evil::evil::evil::evil:

Sadly none of this works whilst in Yosemite. The PCI Manager program does not find a 156a or 156b for the thunderbolt hardware even after install. I've installed and it registers under the BIOS but when I go to create a network, there is no "Thunderbolt" for a connection.

I installed the Drivers via parallels on another hard drive, could this be why it does not recognize because it's not the boot disk??

Hey, man! I was thinking about building a built really similar to yours, mainly because of the ASUS Thunderbolt card.

Did you manage to make it work???

Did you ever manage to get this going? I'm currently running everything fine and smooth on my asus z97-a motherboard with i74470k chip, and I booted into windows and installed thunderbolt drivers which than gave my motherboard the thunderbolt options. But, when booting into Yosemite 10.10.5, under system report it is showing Thunderbolt on the menu but not saying the hardware is connected??? I've booted with my thunderbolt Apollo connected and on prior to startup and still nothing....
:banghead:Hopefully someone knows how to fix this?

My understanding is you must first plugin in a thunderbolt device in windows so it can get detected such as a hd etc.. Then you should be able to use devices in mac os.
