No Audio - Half Memory Count with Maximus VIII Hero

anybody knows how I can get the sound working on Maximus VIII Hero
I finally got el capitan right

but i cant seem to be able to get the sound working

Did you choose your Audio driver when you ran MultiBeast? My ASUS Maximus VIII GENE uses the Realtek ALC892 driver.

Update: Use Realtek ALC1150.

sorry for the late reply but its still not working

still not working .. i have a feeling that multibeast is not doing its job
cause the wireless drivers and the video card drivers i didn't use multibeast to install and they r working fine

Can you elaborate on the way in which it's not working?

Are you booting with a USB stick or straight to the system drive?

after the installation i did use multibeast to set up the EFI but then i had to go and change the config.plist for it to work before that it use to get to the apple logo and reboots in an endless loop
i followed ur guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-desktop-guides/179221-skylake-starter-guide.html

and as far as i know everything is working right except for 4 things
1.audio
2.system only reads half my memory
3.ethernet port not working (but i don't care i got wifi to work)
4.iCloud/app store won't log into my account .. but thats for another time

i have attached my config.plist

For audio: try changing the Devices / Audio / Inject setting in config.plist from 3 to 1 and then reboot.

After the reboot, if you go into System Configuration / Sound / Output do you see any output devices there?

For the half-memory problem: how much memory does your system have? Right now config.plist says 2 slots with 8 GB each.

Have a look at your SMBIOS settings in config.plist. Right now it has entries for two chips (normally slots 0 and 2). You'd want to duplicate those entries so it has four chips listed, presumably in slots 0, 1, 2, and 3.

The other option would be to just remove all the memory settings from config.plist and let it auto-detect, though often the auto-detection doesn't work for DDR4.
