Hi all,

Certain things make sense to me, but I'd like to make sure I'm not going to burn the motherboard or cause issues with the I/O.

The Firewire 24v pin, is it as simple as just wiring both 12v sources?
Does the same apply to the Firewire grounds to just join them together from motherboard to meet the 1 ground cable on the I/O?

Yes. And you don't even need both grounds. All motherboard grounds are connected. Power Switch, Power Led, Reset Switch, USB, Firewire and so on. So just take the front panel firewire ground and connect it to a firewire ground. Note it is also the ground for the power switch and led on the front panel.

Ah okay thanks!
