I'm running with the GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP5-TH motherboard and using a pair of analog driven speakers only one cord.

I'm having this weird issue where audio will constantly glitch for a second at random times. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I have the exact same setup as the ATX build on the buyers guide suggestion list. Everything was installed as per the installation guide and went fine besides this audio guide.

It glitches on anything audio from VLC, YouTube, and even Spotify.

Is there a fix or solution?

In the last 2 days I've been having the same problem too. Before that I've been running my hack pro for nearly a month without issue. Audio output via headphones is fine, from both the front headphone socket and the rear speaker socket. I had started to think it was the speakers and then I tried those in my old imac and they work just fine. So I'm guessing it's a driver issue or some other kind of conflict.

yeah i'm having the exact same problem. :( the audio skips. it just drops to silent for a split second. (like just now) before it would give me a noidlesleepassertion error on the console diagnostic and usage. i was away for a week. now, back it my desk it's skipping, but doesn't throw any errors to the console. i put the machine to sleep and woke it up again, and it's doing it a little less.

any ideas?
