Finally my microphone is working

After a couple of months I finally can use my microphone. It wasn´t working at all until I have found some kexts. I hope it can help someone else.

My hackintosh is running Snow Leopard 10.6.7 and the hardware is:
-MOTHERBOARD Asus p5k SE/EPU (with bios update, so i could set SATA driver as AHCI. Downloaded from http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-s ... E-EPU-AHCI ).
-RAM 4GB
-PROCESSOR Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz
-NVIDIA 8600GT 512 Mb
-HDD SATA Samsung HD502iJ 500GB

The sound is ALC 883. I downloaded the kexts from http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7489 .

ALC883 P5K-R-C.zip
Note the I have to install all kexts in this zip file.

Did you have to install the AppleHDA.kext too, or is it just the LegacyHDAPlatformDriver.kext, HDEFInject.kext, LegacyAppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext?

Also how did you install the kexts?

thx worked for me on GIGABYTE GA-965GM-S2 10.6.8 :)
I just Copy all in the zip to the places it says in zip and use kext utility to repair/inst

Bump. Audio working here as well. I did away with the Voodoo (deleted the kext). I placed the files in the correct directories as it was structured in the zip file. Rebuilt the extensions using MBeast and audio is working. Haven't verified the microphone yet. I also am using a patched DSDT after experiencing POST CSMOS errors running a 64-bit kernel. Did that first before the audio fix.

Cheers!

Well, atleast I got some audio to show in system info with this package, after 10.6.8 it hasn't shown anything. Still can't get any sound though, and it doesn't show my soundcard in sound properties. Without sound Mac OS is unfortunately useless for me, so have to use Win7 again for now. Too bad, really like Mac OS, have to get back to it once someone has a solution for sound problems on 10.6.8 and Lion.
