I noticed that all of your boot screens (including the Apple boot screen) fill the full extent of your display.
Which input did you use to connect your monitor? The VGA or DVI or HDMI?

I see where these cards are out of stock most everywhere - Would this still be 100% good to go w/ Radeon 6870?

Totally - even more so. HDMI on this card doesn't even work, so go right ahead.

All reference 6870 cards work OOB, reference meaning the Dual DVI ports, Dual Mini-Display ports and single HDMI port.

Why did you choose that motherboard model for this build? That's a full-size ATX board, isn't it? Was it better suited for your video card?

Yes. I had a lot of desk room and I wanted more expandability in terms of PCI slots so I decided on the Z68A. It also helps keep the system cooler.

Hmm, yes. I turned on S.M.A.R.T. status, put HPET at x64 mode and set my SATA control mode to AHCI. I also had to boot with GraphicsEnabler=No the first few times before I got my MultiBeast install just right.

Hi Miles,

Great job! I have the same motherboard and I wonder if you have "Sleep" working? I can't get it to work. The computer goes sleep, but on wake-up it's actually boots up normally (like after the regular power-off). I have core i5 2500K, GTX560 Ti and Lion 10.7.0, that's the only differences.
