probably too hard for a noob like me.. so im gonna live with it for now.
However another strange manifestation has presented itself :

sleep really doesnt work anymore, boot times are REALLY slow, shutdown works 1/5 times.

I added a second ssd in my laptop, could that be whats causing this? I formatted it journaled, should i format it something else?

Remove the second SSD to confirm whether it is the cause.

Hey again,

i removed it and things kept on not working.
So i decided to make a new usb installer using 10.9 i still had.

In 10.9, everything worked flawlessly, boldly, i then tried upgrading to 10.9.3.

On reboot, i got kxld.... can't find symbol .... a few times. it then hangs on waiting for DSMOS.
I tried every bootflag there is, but no luck.

FakeSMC is loading correctly from what i can tell.
Tried copying my old patched kernel, didnt help, tried copying audio kexts back, didnt help.

Any idea what i can do to fix this?

You must use patched mach_kernel from 10.9.3 with 10.9.3. Using an older kernel will not work.

Hi I'm reading your post as I have the same Laptop.
Can you tell me how far you have everithing?
Mine works with some things not working yet.

No battery status
No sound
No Brightness
and no sleep

Like to know!

You will probably need to be more specific about what is wrong with sleep. But power management is a pre-req to working sleep in any case.

Haswell Brightness Fix:

You will need to extract all DSDT/SSDT from Linux. Your GFX0 device is in one of the SSDTs not DSDT and to get a proper disassembly of your DSDT (and the SSDT that has GFX0) you will need all of them. They are available in /sys/firmware/acpi/tables and /sys/firmware/acpi/tables/dynamic. Place them on USB for transfer to OS X.

Place all SSDT/DSDT in a single directory and use a recent build of iasl to disassemble:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/attachmen...5-buggy-dsdt-asus-q501la-help-needed-iasl.zip
Code:
cd "to directory where you placed all SSDT/DSDT"
iasl -da *.aml

Then search the resulting *.dsl so you know where GFX0 is defined. Search for "Device (GFX0)"...

Laptop repo: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch
Apply: "Rename GFX0 to IGPU" (to both DSDT and the SSDT that has your GFX0 device)
Apply: "Brightness Fix (Haswell)" to the file (SSDT or DSDT) with GFX0 device definition.
install: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-ACPI-Backlight

Place patched DSDT.aml in /Extra/dsdt.aml. Place patched SSDT in /Extra/ssdt-1.aml (assuming you have already generated SSDT.aml for CPU). Obviously different locations for Clover (EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched).

Result: Working brightness slider in SysPrefs->Displays (mapping of keyboard keys is a separate issue), possible LID sleep, and IGPU power management.

Audio: Best result with patched AppleHDA. Google 'patch AppleHDA guide'. Search for suitable AppleHDA or patch it yourself. Apply appropriate DSDT patches.

DSDT patches you need for AppleHDA: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch
Apply: "Audio Layout 12" (change layout-id from 12 to the layout-id used by the patched AppleHDA)
Apply: "IRQ Fix"

Determine layout-id from patched AppleHDA.kext:

First you need to know your codec id in decimal. Then look in the Info.plist for AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext (in PlugIns), find your codec id under HDAConfigDefault (there may be many entries in a sloppy patched AppleHDA or only one). The LayoutID that matches your codec id is the layout id you need.

I'v done all I can regarding Powermanagement
SMBIOS MBA 6.1
Patched mach_kernel for haswell or I can't boot.
have DroppSSDT=Yes and use custom SSDT made with Probook Installer
No other kext then FakeSMC.
Laptop goes to sleep after a while but when it sleeps it immediately wakes only screen stays black.
This is not my main problem.

Sound it is and thanks to RehabMan regarding brightness that works just fine! Thanks for that!
For that I will try to patch AppleHDA myself.

Can I find layout ID in IOrgeg?

For instant wake: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch
Apply: "7-series/8-series USB"
Also, install GenericUSBXCHI.kext, and use kernel flag -gux_defer_usb2

...Can I find layout ID in IOrgeg?

No. Layout-id is an arbitrary choice on the part of the person patching AppleHDA.

The mix of these 3 combinations did the trick! Sleep works!
Thanks again!

Now only sound is my last problem.
It has VIA HD with VEN 1106 and DEV 8446
So in it must be Intel HD but how to find witch codec I need ?

You need to get a codec dump from Linux. If you do the google search mentioned it will be one of the first steps for any AppleHDA patching guide.

I have it all sorted out!
Seems to be to much patches in DSDT file so I started with new one and minimum patches.
Now my Clevo W740SU works perfect. Including Audio, Wifi 5G, Bluetooth 4.0, sleep, wake... just everything like a real Apple laptop
And it is is superfast!

Thanks all for contributing to me.
