Mavericks: No Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

What's in Extra?
If you can't fix the problem with the current install, do a clean install on a test partition. Install only ALC898 audio and verify working audio.

I tried reinstalling 10.9 this morning on another HDD that was completely formatted. Installed the ALC898 via MB 6 but still no audio output via the front headphone port or rear speaker port. When turning the volume up an down there is a tiny background interference change but nothing that would be called sound--not even pops or clicks.

Could there be anything else at play here?

No IOReg, no idea.

Apologies here's my IOReg along with answers to all the 5 original questions again.

There are 6 questions and the last one shows the problem and it is missing.
Attach 6. Screenshot of System Information/Hardware/Audio/Intel High Definition Audio (not Devices)

Excuse me, a question that seems OT but for me it is not, I have a asrock H61M-VG3 with ALC662, how come my sound card is not supported? What difference has with other ALC? I found online a AppleHda patched for my card but I do not enable the audio front, however, the audio is on the back and also the microphone and line-in input.

It takes significant work to get AppleHDA sound out of a codec; not enough resources for every codec. Frankly, audio codec support should be a criteria for any motherboard purchase decision.

OK, so there's a lots of HDMI guides. . .
But, which one is the one that works? I’ve gone through several so far and haven’t gotten audio. At this point I don't know what files I've f*cked up, so I don’t know if the guides work, but my system doesn’t. So I thought that after i reinstall my system (if I can get SuperDuper to cooperate and let me do a restore :/ ), I need to find out which of these guides is the actual current procedure that actually works.

System: i7-4770K, GA-H87MX-D3H, Bios V. 5, Realtek alc892, GTX560 (currently not using), 2 HP w2207h hdmi monitors (that lose signal at sign-in screen and need to be turned off and on [apple bug] which I was hoping these procedures might fix).

OS: Mavericks 9.1 (or what’s left of it)

dsdt.aml and iosreg files attached.

Here is a chronology of what i followed:
1 http://www.tonymacx86.com/hdmi-audio/112469-mavericks-hdmi-audio-applehda-guide.html, which referred me to:
2. http://www.tonymacx86.com/hdmi-audio/108302-haswell-hdmi-audio.html, which referred me to
3. https://github.com/toleda/audio_hdmi_8series, which referred me to
4. something else, that I can’t recall, but which resulted in a compile error, (because I didn't know what I was doing at that point anyway) then I found:
5. https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALC892/blob/master/README.txt, which I completed, but have no audio. I then found this one:
6. https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALCInjection/blob/master/README.txt (followed HDEF-dsdt method), which I also completed, and attach the files. (i also installed the PJALM patches for my MB at this time.)

So, today I found this one: https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALCInjection/blob/master/M-Realtek_ALC_AppleHDA_Screenshots.pdf.zip, which also has video fixes, but I’m not sure if it is for OS X 9.1.

Please accept my apologies if I sound cranky. I am very grateful to this community and Toledo for all of the work that has gone into this project. I know this can be frustrating.

David

Off topic. Your duplicate post has been deleted (see Rules). HDMI audio problems are reported in the HDMI audio threads. Use only 2. Haswell HDMI Audio

Thanks, Toleda, I will try 2. (Sorry about the duplicate, i didn't see the "reporting" post until after I posted the first one.)
