Lenovo U310 - Mavericks Upgrade [WIP]

AR9280 is supported natively. No need to edit any kext or add any kext. You must have something other than AR9280...

My Atheros card is indeed supported natively, I replaced my edited kext with the vanilla one and it works

Hi all. I have U310 laptop. I had 10.9.0 on it installed and everyting was working nice. Then i had to upgrade osx to 10.9.5 so i can install new xcode now i have problem with my graphic card.

everything is kinda slow and lags. here is my boot file

i cant add it as i get error when try to compile file.

Hey man, I had some similar problems with my intel hd after an upgrade to the u310; http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...u310-mavericks-100-working-os-x-10-9-2-a.html

I ended up deleting my S/L/E kexts and replacing them with the vanilla ones. Which worked flawless for me!

About dsdt problems, before compilation, you should boot your laptop without one in the extra folder or bootflag dsdt=no.

I'm kind of reluctant due to the modified kexts...

Tony's Unibeast installer with laptop support works like a charm! No edits needed, just boot it up and enjoy!

Intel HD works OOTB (backlight and HDMI), got my Atheros wifi card working, sound works with the same applehda.kext from mavericks and Rehabman's battery kext still works as well!

Webcam and right USB 2.0 work OOTB. So do the 2 right USB 3.0 ports. I haven't tested them with a USB 3.0 stick but backwards compatibility with my unibeast stick is flawless!

So I think that's about as vanilla as it gets with a Clover bootloader!

Way back at the beginning of this thread it was mentioned that BCM943225HMB card will work "with enabler". I have one on the way, but do I just need to mess with kext to get it to work, or am I going to have to fiddle with the BIOS and a whitelist to make this happen?

I believe the U310 has a whitelist (as many Lenovo laptops do). You'll have to defeat that first.

Both injector kexts and DSDT patches work... There is no inherent advantage to either.
