You can reboot your computer now. ;)
Using MultiBeast after upgrading to 10.6.8 always (in my case) shows "The installation has failed".

You should now be able to boot without iBoot :headbang:

Hey Tom!

Thanks for the advice...

But now it seems to have worsened... I can't boot even with iBoot, let alone without it.

It just sits at the grey screen with white apple logo when tried to boot using iBoot.

When I tried to boot with -v command, here's what happened... (Photo attached)

Any advice is much appreciated

Thanks a lot...
-Roger

P.S. I feel I'll get there if I don't give up!

Boot gets stuck with "PCI configuration begin" :think:
Do you have any PCI card plugged? If yes, try to boot unplugged.
Are you able to boot in safe mode? (try -x -v)

No, there is no extra card...

And no, I am not able to boot with -x

With -v, I see that screen that I just showed in the last post.

What could be it?

-Roger

try using -npci=0x2000

Tried that already... No luck.

Still the same grey screen without the rotating circle.... for indefinite amount of time...

I do have the same problem. I had a working system (10.6.8) but with a unstable Ethernet. I tried to fix it with Multibeast and ended with a AppleLogo screen without spinning wheel.

I tried:
PCIRoot=1
PCIRootUID=1
npci=0x2000
GraphicsEnabler=YES|NO
"GraphicsMode"="1280x1024x32"

all with or without combinations and with or without -x -v -s -F or -f.

Any other solutions?

Solved!

I don't no why but running Multibeast changed my .plist.
It changed legacy_kernel to mach_kernel.

With bootflags:

legacy_kernel npci=0x2000 pciroot=1

i got my system running again.

Still have the old original problem why i started running multibeast:
My ethernet-connection is not stabele.
I have a VIA VT6102 build-in ethernetcard with de original driver from VIA

http://www.viaarena.com/Driver/v6107_vt ... 46fvia.zip

Can some one help me?

Can you give a more detailed step by step instruction on how you changed the .plist value and where? I am having the same problem as you but am even more of a noob. How do i go about replicating your fix?
