Hi, i am stuck at the piont where i have to copy the mach_kernel to my HDD where i installed OS X.

My HDD is named OSX, my USB is named Usb and my mach_kernel is named kernel

i tried your command

cp /mach_kernel "/Volumes/OSX/mach_kernel" ( mach_kernel, no such file)

I tried also:

cp /kernel "/Volumes/OSX/kernel". ( something is copied, but still rebooting)

cp /kernel "/Volumes/OSX/mach_kernel" ( something is copied, but still rebooting)

Do you have a clue what i can try to make it work ??
Do i need to copy it in a different folder or something like that ?

Thank you and please excuse my bad english...

What version of OS X?

[COLOR=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961)]First i want to thank you for the great work you allready done and the quick answere.

yosemite

i could have made two mistakes, i think.

first i am not shure if i patched the kernel right.
if i check my md5 sums ( with the terminal, in the os x installer, it gives me an e4...something instead of the xcpm: eb21......)
the bootloader works, can the kernel be wrong if the bootloader works ?

Second
wrong folder, if the kernel is patched right i copy it in the wrong folder on the hdd.

so maybe you can tell me if messed up patching the kernel or simple copieing it to wrong location/folder on my hdd.

Thank You

Somebody know what to do?

You're doing it wrong. Running the kernel itself from Terminal is not part of the patching process, and obviously doesn't make sense.

Guide for Yosemite: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...ng-kernel-haswell-cpus-xcpm-early-reboot.html

But you should use Clover instead: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...de-booting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover.html

Im kind of a noob at this. But, my pc has the same issue. How do I install the patch for this to work.

Specs:
MSI B85 - G41 PC Mate
Intel Core i5 3.3GHz Haswell
EVGA Geforce GT 740 2GB SC

There is desktop guide for Clover: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html

Clover has my patch built-in with config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KernelPm=true.

If you insist on Unibeast/Chimera/Chameleon (legacy)...

If you're installing Mavericks, the patching process is described in post #1.

And if you're installing Yosemite, the link was just provided in #675.
