I think you can help me, you have the same MB like mine,
with Nvidia 480, and Yosemite that work perfectly.

I've tried to install ElCap, with Clover and Chameleon,
but in both case I've problem with USB ports: are not available after install process.

For USB's, any good results with rename port name on DSDT, and with dummy_kext...

Do you have a complete steps of install process that you have used
or/and some suggestion to enable USB ports?
I don't understand your step .3 (replace clover EFI 64bit bios block I/O)

Hi brother!!!
First of all some notes :

1) With Chamaleon (Enoch) I didn't have my original port USB 3.0 Working but only the Orico ones
2) With Clover all of them are working out of the box.

So I have added here below a zip file containing :

1) My DSDT.aml
2) My Config in clover
3) a screenshot of my boot (so that you can figure out any difference)
4) a screenshot of how I got point 3

I hope this could serve you.

I have followed the instructions and I'm at the "post installation" step. However, El Cap does not recognize my ethernet card. It would crash if I choose either DHCP or manual IP setting. I had to choose no Internet for now. Is your ethernet working for you? Thanks.

yes perfectly working.
Pls try with the attached kext.

Put in in folder 10.11 and reboot.
If not working install it also using kextdrop

Boot1: boot L

echo, but don't boot anymore...

So, I back to Chameleon,
boot again, but always without USB port...

I have el cap login, but without keyboard and mouse,
I stop on login screen...

HD WD 1Tb on Marvell controller port 1 (new el cap test)
HD SSD 512 Gb on Marvell controller port 2 (old running Yosemite)

Finally El Cap run perfectly on my P6X58,
this result has been achieved with the help of Roberto, thank you !!!

I like to add some notes that will help in the installation process:

Before start
> Disconnect any optical readers (CDROM, DVD, BD)
> Update the bios to the last V.1501 and setup correctly
(here, in this thread, the correct settings that need to be applied)
> Connect the destination drive (HDD or SSD) on Marvell controller
> Prepare USB key correctly, with MBR partition, and Unibeast 6.01
> Setup the USB key with Clover installer and Roberto switch
(the most important are : CloverEFI_64bits_bios_blockIO and Install boot0f in MBR)

When reach installer
> Format the destination drive with GUID
> Start the El Cap installation

After installation
> Restart again with USB and repeat the Clover installation on HDD/SSD
with mentioned switch
> Copy Roberto config.plist on clover folder
> Copy Roberto DSDT.aml on clover/ACPI/Patched folder

1.st wake up
> Copy the kext only for the devices that NOT work (only the audio in my case)
> I've used EasyKext utility 2.0, instead copy on clover/kext/10.11 folder

Optimize
> Update to Osx 10.11.1 with AppStore
> If your RAM run faster than 1333 Mhz, with Clover, configure these flags:
darkwake=10
XMPdetection=true
or manual edit config.plist.
