Post OS X Yosemite Unigine Heaven OpenGL Graphics Benchmarks
It's so confusing with everyone using different settings, why not use the Basic or the Extreme setting in the app to avoid random user errors.
I can say that my score went up about 1100 from Mavericks tho
I hit my head against the wall for two days straight with that error.
My final solution was to install clover instead of chimera.
There are pretty many posts about this issue, but no real solution afaik,
most seems to involve some kind of magic and usually only works for the one that...
I'm gonna test tomorrow.
I have this Gigabyte Card:

(Which worked fine on 10.9.x with web drivers )
The 740 will be faster than a 9800GT, but not by a huge margin.
If you want more graphics performance go for a 760, it many times faster than a 740.
Don't worry about PCIe 2 vs 3. Even cards like GeForce TITAN are not really limited by PCIe 2 vs PCIe...
I dunno if the GT740 is compatible, but the low end gfx is usually not much better than the built in.
If graphic performance isn't the most important I'd say save those money and get an i5, as it will outlast the i3.
It is also much easier to upgrade graphics cards down the line. Updating...
I have tried a lot now. I can actually boot my old Mountain Lion disk with no issue (except that my GTX780 is not working properly in ML).
I found out that I should just reinstall the whole thing, as I do have backup of all my work.
After reinstalling I'm back to the same issues.
I have...
First off my specs:
Gigabyte Z77-DS3H ver 1.0 with F9 bios. I5-2500k
Intel HD 3000 with 1x Screen (boot IGFX first)
Gigabyte GTX 780 with 3x Screens.
Bootdrive with chimera: Crucial m500 SSD 240GB, also contains OSX.
I bought this setup early 2012 i think and it has been working 100%...
That does not make any sense at all.
Tests shows that even SLI Titans are barely loosing any performance on PCIe 2 vs 3..
I do have a sandy bridge hack so I cannot do PCIe3 anyways.

I just spent 20 minutes reading around the forum about luxmark results, and it seems everyone get...
Seems things are starting to shape up with the gk110b cards now.
I just bit the bullet and ordered the fastest 780 I could find, a Gigabyte 780 GHz Edition, hopefully it will work out fine :D
The GTX 660 has been a great card tho, but I want some more horsepower
