Gifty74,

Please state your system board, specs, RAM installed, HD/SSD and graphics card.

That, and what were the parameters of trying to boot? e.g., Had you already run Multibeast? Which settings? Were you trying to boot from Chimera or the Unibeast USB stick? etc.

Some context for how you got to where you are at might be helpful. :)

Sorry, had updated my sig but it doesn't seem to be taking. I had installed a fresh copy of Mavericks on a newly formatted drive. Booted up and had graphics properly recognized, etc. No issues it seemed. All prior artifacts from unrecognized graphics in ML were gone. Used Multibeast to install Chimera 2.2.1 (I think, the latest), and selected very few options. The one thing I did select was for it to install the sound drivers for my board, before I realized Mavericks had already installed a working sound driver. Rebooted and see the Chimera boot loader screen. Tried every boot option (-v, -x) and even went into -s and manually removed the audio driver folder. That didn't do it, still stuck and apple logo screen. I did find last night that if I boot to the boot loader on the USB drive (that I installed Mavericks from) it does go into Mavericks that way and everything is functional (sound, and video seems to have for QE/CI), transparent menu bar, etc. Just need to figure out what in the Chimera boot loader is causing the hangup. Is there a way to delete the Chimera boot file (com.apple.plist... something?) and try another option? Would Chimera be setting GraphicsEnabler or other option by default that is hanging it up?

Try and boot with: UseKernelCache=No

Even though it's a fresh install there may be some differences between the cache booting off of Unibeast vs. Chimera.

gifty, use the tool ShowAllFiles tool and show hidden files. Look for the Extra folder in Unibeast drive.
