I was thinking about would i get the wifi and BT 4.0 to work with this chip?? I read the posts regarding to it but wanted confirmation for it. Obviously the thought is to get Maveric and later on Yoshi.

AR9280 WiFi is directly supported. If it works in your laptop (eg. BIOS is ok with it)...
It is probably an AR5BHB92, so no BT.

It is the AR5BHB92 version. Which one should I get then to get the BT working? I assume AR5BHB92/AR9285 will have the same result. It looked like the Broadcom BCM94322HM8L won't get it working either ?

AR5BHB92 does not have AR9285 (always AR9280).

I think BCM is a better bet as far as BT, but it is always problematic involving buggy firmware uploaders/etc. I don't use BT, so I can't offer any great advice. I find BT a waste of time.

Oh, I meant AR5B95 AR9285.. However Im ordering the AR5BHB92 AR9280 and just go with it. Do you happen to know if there's any DSDT work done for the family or if I should start to do patches of my own? Thx for the help with the chip.

AR5B95 does not have BT either (just AR9285 WiFi). The AR5B195 has AR9285 WiFi + AR30xx BT. The BT is a poor implementation of BT 3.0 and does not work very well.

AR9285 can be made to work with just injector kext (toledaARPT.kext).

Came across with a problem. I have VT option but no VT-d, so I haven't made any changes there. I have set the defaults from BIOS to boot from the USB HDD, and saved it. Now when I have the usb attached and I restart the PC nothing happens. A normal windows just starts. What am I missing?

So Im in step 4

What part of step 4? Step 4.1 is "Turn on the computer"...

If you can't turn off VT-d, use dart=0 kernel flag.

Don't rely on BIOS boot priority. Use your BIOS hotkey to select the boot device specifically. Most BIOS implementations will prioritize UEFI boot over any legacy option. Make sure you have legacy boot enabled, and secure boot disabled.

Got it working. Only thing that happened now on step 4 task 4 as I clicked USB the apple logo and backround flashed few times and went back to the starting the system and couldn't type there anything. How to proceed?
