I know what you mean, I had to wipe the thing a couple of times and nearly put windows 7 back on it. I've had the same error. You need to install the dsdt from the "intel nuc.zip" download on page 1 of this thread. You can use chameleon to do this, but put the dsdt file in your "extra" folder. I used the same chameleon settings from page 1, so give this a go and reboot. Let me know how you get on.

Just saw your latest post, is your video now ok? no flickering? if so, you'll probably find that your sound works now also!

No more video flickering and no more boot error msg as before. Can't wait to get home and see if the audio works. Seems like a pretty cool little machine so far though. Anything I should check out or do? Funny thing is... now that I built this little thing I dont know what to do with it. o_O

still no sound. hmmmmm.... back to page one I suppose. On the bright side my thunderbolt to ethernet adapter works great.

Unfortunately , I have run in an issue today.

I had the NUC with ML 10.8.2 running just fine and today I shrank the Mac OS partition to make room fow\r a multiboot with windows 7. I saw there were some updates and decided to install them. Total download size was a little over 1 GB. I let it download over my wireless connection and it told me it would take about 10 minutes. I left the computer and came back a little later and saw the message "updates could not be installed". I restarted and had no wireless network. I clicked the wireless symbol at the top of the screen and it showed no Wifi hardware hardware installed. Did the card just die? How can I troubleshoot this?

my system is up and running with the dell 1702 wifi/bt adaptor, thanks very much for all the help and guidance people esp syngatesfan200. speed of it is awesome.

I had the same issue. I downgraded the boot loader to an earlier version - (Chimera or Chameleon - I get them mixed up, but I'm pretty sure that it's Chimera). I went from a 2.x to the latest 1.x version.
