Gotcha. I went ahead and started clean, but I found and read that section. Been spending a lot of time digesting your two guides on creation and installation.
For some reason I'm getting p-state stepper error when trying to boot from the usb. But I just used my old working pbi ce usb to get me up and running to a blank state.
Everything works now, except I still don't have an internal monitor. It's powered, the backlight can be seen on, but it's simply blank. Typing this from external as we speak. Here are the logs.
NOTE: this is my roommates 15" 4530s sandy bridge i7 with 1080p screen upgrade and onboard gpu
